"We have enjoyed dining at this restaurant before, but yesterday we decided to try the Beef Roast. The beef itself was delicious, but the roast potatoes appeared to be frozen and the portion of cauliflower cheese was minimal. The stuffing ball was hard and dry. The Coke tasted strange, possibly due to the drink lines being cleaned. After drinking it, I felt bloated and have been experiencing abdominal discomfort and an upset stomach since."

"Where do I even begin? The service from the woman behind the bar was shocking. When I inquired about dairy-free options for my son, I was told that nothing could be modified and that they don't cater to allergies at all! I pointed out the menu's claim that they could accommodate such needs, but my concerns were met with an eye roll. I then tried to order him some chips, but was told they were fried in the same oil as dairy and meat products, and since we are vegetarian, that wouldn't work. I asked about the vegan dishes, only to learn that they are also prepared alongside meat products, so there's no guarantee they would actually be vegan. At this point, my daughters had already become excited about eating out and the play area, so I reluctantly decided to go along with it and ordered three sandwiches on granary bread and a child's fish and chips. My son had a packet of crisps. When the sandwiches arrived, they were absolutely terrible. The cheese and onion sandwich consisted of two slices of cheap store-bought bread, some pre-grated cheese, and a few onion slices—without even a hint of butter! It certainly wasn’t inexpensive; we paid £45 for four soft drinks, three sandwiches, and a child's meal. As for the play area, it was concerning—there were sharp screws poking through the wood chips, loose sharp fixtures on top of the slide, and a large exposed electric cable under the swings! We decided to leave swiftly; it was such a disappointing way to end our holiday, when it should have been a lovely final meal before heading home. I was appalled by their attitude towards me—I felt like an inconvenience. The food was awful, and I genuinely recommend avoiding this place if you are vegan or have allergies; even if a dish is labeled vegan, they certainly don’t take the necessary precautions to keep it separate from meat products. It’s truly unfortunate, as the location by the river is beautiful, and we were all so excited to be there, but we left feeling very disappointed. We definitely won't be returning."

"I love The Willows. Their consistently brilliant service, food and staff has what’s made this my ‘go to place’ to meet with my friends and family...which I must admit is pretty regular! I’m so glad we have this little gem in my local village! I’m often trying to eat healthy, which can be difficult at most places you eat out, but The Willows caters for all!! For breakfast I usually pick the delicious Skinny breakfast, although I do love their Eggs Royal too! For lunch you really must give the salads a try, they are amazing!! I’m not the greatest salad lover, but OMG, their peri peri chicken and bacon salad is my absolute favourite, closely followed by the chicken and bacon Caesar salad, I haven’t found anywhere that do salads as good as these at The Willows, it’s extremely tasty! The place looks great, with a small outside area for them sunny days where you just want to be outside. The kids room is fantastic for mums who want to have happy kids while dining. I have friends who are gluten free or vegetarian and there is plenty for them to enjoy too. The cakes are scrumptious, there’s always a lovely display with plenty of choice. Something for everyone, highly recommend! I look forward to my next visit!"

"I had an okay experience dining at this restaurant. The sirloin steak was fantastic, receiving 5 stars. The rump steak was a bit chewy and there weren't enough chips, but they were cooked well, earning 5 stars. The curry and salad also received 5 stars. However, I was disappointed by the salad. The staff was friendly, and the drinks and alcohol selection were good. The prices were reasonable. The atmosphere was clean and pleasant, but overall it was a mixed experience. I probably wouldn't choose to dine here again."

"In 11 years on this estate I’ve only had one breakfast here and I think it was buffet style then Aug 2015) but can’t be sure. My wife and I had a large breakfast and the kids had 3 X kids breakfasts £3.75). The large breakfasts really are quite huge, 4 sausages, 4 Hash browns, 2 rashers of bacon, 2 eggs, 1 piece of white toast wish they had choice of brown or seeded) and beans. My wife got less beans than the kids for some reason, so not consistent with the sizes, but overall a decent brekkie and the cappuccinos were lovely!! I’m so pleased they allow dogs now, it makes it much more viable to visit."
