"We have enjoyed dining at this restaurant before, but yesterday we decided to try the Beef Roast. The beef itself was delicious, but the roast potatoes appeared to be frozen and the portion of cauliflower cheese was minimal. The stuffing ball was hard and dry. The Coke tasted strange, possibly due to the drink lines being cleaned. After drinking it, I felt bloated and have been experiencing abdominal discomfort and an upset stomach since."

I took my dad to the Red Lion in Drayton for his birthday lunch and we had such a lovely time. The food was so good and great value, the service was prompt and friendly. Would highly recommend and will be back!

The restaurant was pleasant, but the selection of vegetarian options was very limited. Additionally, the bottom of my grandson's pizza was burnt. The staff were friendly and the average price per person was between £10 and £20.

What an overhaul. The interior has been beautifully done. The layout and furnishings are gorgeous. Service is good, lots of staff working on a Friday teatime, which was needed as busy. Food presentation was good, looked appetizing, but a bit bland I'm afraid. 3 of us had mixed grill,and...

Food is good. But for new years we called to book , the lady on phone said no booking first come first served . We turned up, and booking was required. Had to waiste time and gaz and come with a Last minute plan for food. Not nice, more communication in the team is required. Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3 View menu

The service and food were excellent at this restaurant. The average price per person is £90–100 and the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere all receive a top rating of 5 out of 5. Some recommended dishes include chips and Hunters Chicken. There is ample parking available at the restaurant, with a free parking lot for customers to use.

We called in here for dinner. Starters were the Mini camembert, mains the Beef and ale pie and the mixed grill. Service was Ok, but the presentation of the food not good. My mixed grill was just a pile of meats. Neither the starters nor main courses were very tasty, though the camembert was very will cooked and hot £58.79 was over priced for what we got.

"Where do I even begin? The service from the woman behind the bar was shocking. When I inquired about dairy-free options for my son, I was told that nothing could be modified and that they don't cater to allergies at all! I pointed out the menu's claim that they could accommodate such needs, but my concerns were met with an eye roll. I then tried to order him some chips, but was told they were fried in the same oil as dairy and meat products, and since we are vegetarian, that wouldn't work. I asked about the vegan dishes, only to learn that they are also prepared alongside meat products, so there's no guarantee they would actually be vegan. At this point, my daughters had already become excited about eating out and the play area, so I reluctantly decided to go along with it and ordered three sandwiches on granary bread and a child's fish and chips. My son had a packet of crisps. When the sandwiches arrived, they were absolutely terrible. The cheese and onion sandwich consisted of two slices of cheap store-bought bread, some pre-grated cheese, and a few onion slices—without even a hint of butter! It certainly wasn’t inexpensive; we paid £45 for four soft drinks, three sandwiches, and a child's meal. As for the play area, it was concerning—there were sharp screws poking through the wood chips, loose sharp fixtures on top of the slide, and a large exposed electric cable under the swings! We decided to leave swiftly; it was such a disappointing way to end our holiday, when it should have been a lovely final meal before heading home. I was appalled by their attitude towards me—I felt like an inconvenience. The food was awful, and I genuinely recommend avoiding this place if you are vegan or have allergies; even if a dish is labeled vegan, they certainly don’t take the necessary precautions to keep it separate from meat products. It’s truly unfortunate, as the location by the river is beautiful, and we were all so excited to be there, but we left feeling very disappointed. We definitely won't be returning."
