"I visited Da Giovanni I went to this restaurant on a recommendation. There were not many diners present but it still took inordinately long for anyone to come to the table. The wine was fine, when it finally arrived, the bread was unexceptional and...some dried surfaces suggested it had been sitting out and uncovered for a while. The canned olive oil was nondescript, and the balsamic vinegar cloyingly syrupy, sweet, and completely lacking in character and squirted from a a plastic bottle. Little care was taken putting together the arugula salad, and it was far heavier on the tomatoes than it was on the arugula. One of the specials was a ravioli dish stuffed with local mushrooms in a mushroom sauce, unceremoniously ladled onto the plate, again with no attention to presentation. It was excessively salted, and I daresay that I experienced a very unpleasant reaction to it later that night. Everything took an excessively long time to show up, was mediocre to poor when it did, and in the end we had to fetch the server in order to get the bill. Once the bill was paid, the server a different one asked almost as an afterthought if we wanted some grappa. Not before or with the bill, but after all was said and done. I have been coming regularly to Wolfenbüttel for years and more, have spent a great deal of time in this town, and can honestly say that this is the most disappointing meal to date. Won't be dining there again. Not recommended"

Been there in a group of nine people. Decent service and wine, but food was nothing special, salad was not even properly cleaned, pasta had no flavor. Definitly we Will not go there again

I was there tonight with a colleague and friend to dinner. It was just very good all around. the ambiente is harmonious. the service accommodating. so if you are in wf and you like italian, go here.

the food we ordered (steak, pasta and calf) were deliciously prepared (also for`s eye) and tasted good.The meat was not deadly. only critique point (but there is nothing for the restaurant) : pfifferlings were not fresh, eternal from the deep freezer? pfifferlings should be eaten only in the season.

We knew the restaurant many day visits. The lunch buffet is highly recommended at the price of 9.90 Euro. The selection is huge and it tastes excellent. Recently we had a family celebration in the vaulted cellar (30 people). It was just fun: the ambience, the service and of course the food and drinks. A restaurant that you can recommend with very good conscience!
