"Döner Time is by no means a bad restaurant, to include its shop on Vogelweh. The spicy sauce on the wraps/sandwiches is amazing and rivaled by no other kebab place in town. It's nothing flashy or out of the ordinary, but it has had the same taste and quality for the 3+ years I've been here in Kaiserslautern. The service is always attentive and polite (even when I've stopped by with a food list of 15 names for work). If you have a newcomer inbound or are a newcomer yourself, stop by and make this your first döner experience."

Small but fine and great service. The guys are always friendly and accommodating. Only the meat could carry a little more spices. But everything in a good meal. View menu

When you come to K-town, everyone talks about the doner. This is the place to try it, the others aren't close. I love the doner box and don't forget the sauce...

Best Quesadilla (with diner meat) in the world and the sauce I will always receive so kindly! Even speaking American is not a problem there. I'm great! You can pay with dollars. View menu

insgesamt zu kleine Portion! (zu wenig Fleisch (Hähnchen) -> kein Kalb) Die Location macht einen sehr tristen Eindruck. Es gibt definitiv bessere Dönerläden in K-Town!overall small portion! (too little meat (chicken) -> no calf)The location makes a very drab impression. There are definitely better kebab shops in K-Town!

The Döner here are great and the staff is incredibly friendly. If you are US Military they do accept dollars to make things easier for you. I eat here once or twice a week because I work practically next door. Great place, great Döner, great people and a good slogan. Oh and unlike most places their fries are good too, they make them fresh when ordered and don't have them just laying around for hours. I can only recommend this spot.

"Holiday, nice weather and still what to do in Kaiserslautern. We planned our start in Kaiserslautern with a light lunch. We visited Ayame for the first time 3 years ago. It is located in the former JVA Kaiserslautern, which was converted a few years ago into the Hotel Alcatraz. A Japanese restaurant fits well here, because the Japanese garden borders directly on the building. We have free parking in the courtyard. Schlichter hotel entrance, only hidden hints at the restaurant The way to the small restaurant leads past the reception. At 13.45 we entered the small restaurant with few seats and hoped to have a seat. Open until 14.00. A long-term construction site on the way to Kaiserslautern forced us to a rather large detour. We were the only guests, were warmly welcomed by a young man. Our question whether we get anything else to eat was kindly hunted. So we took a seat in the small, Japanese-style dining room and got the menu. Optic hasn't changed much since our last visit. Everything is clean and well maintained, bare tables. Daylight only illuminates the room. Unfortunately, you can't look outside. . The menu surprised me. She was partly handwritten and so completely different from my memory. Due to the advanced time, we decided very quickly: 2 large mineral water € 2.50 Foreway to crumb: Edamame € 4.20 For both of us: Sushi Menu € 13.80: Miso Soup, 3 Sushi Nigiri, 4 pieces Hosomaki, 8 pieces Uramaki Our drinks came immediately and well cooled. A good portion of the salted soybeans a little later. The hot beans in the bowl were a tasty crackling beforehand. The young man supported a (his? wife in the open kitchen. Here I was able to observe how the Misosuppe was tasted and the lady freshly prepared our sushi. That made all a very good impression. View into the open kitchen The steaming soup with tofu insert tasted mild and yet aromatic according to the Wakamealga. After a reasonable waiting period, our sushi were served. Very appealing. The 3 Nigiri classic with salmon, shrimp and tuna. The “Makis” pefect rolled, very good in taste. Overall a good portion, we were pleasantly tired. There was really nothing to complain about for the price. Sushi Menu The young man was very attentive, but to expect from two guests. In between the question whether everything tastes. Wasabi, soy sauce and ginger were handed down. In the case of numbers, the solution for the significantly different menu. The young Japanese couple only took over the restaurant a few weeks ago. This also explained that some processes have not yet been very routined. Stay to hope that the small restaurant will talk to friends of Japanese cuisine. Despite proximity to the city, it is very hidden in the building complex. Running is not coming over here and not every hotel guest likes Sushi. The toilets belong to Hotel Alcatraz, are modern, very clean and well maintained. Restaurant and toilets are walkable and without stairs."
