excellent night, as usual. Great food and lovely friendly staff, can not recommend Douro Valley enough!! Great value for money

This restaurant offers a wide selection of dishes at great prices. It is a charming family-owned establishment that I always look forward to visiting again. I highly recommend it.

Nice relaxed atmosphere and good service. Had the scallops to start which was quite a small portion however tasted nice! The tapas dishes we had were amazing, would definitely return!

I had another wonderful evening at this fantastic local family restaurant. They consistently provide outstanding Portuguese cuisine and service at affordable prices. The cocktails are also top-notch! I always leave eager to return. I highly recommend this restaurant in every aspect. 5 stars.

This restaurant well deserves its high ranking. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced, while the suggestion of 2 3 tapas per person was exactly right for us the garlicky king prawns were a highlight, but it was all tasty. The restaurant makes some concessions to where it is (see photo), with some fairly standard bar offerings, but the house wine was very drinkable and the staff were excellent, attentive and discreet at the same time. Although our table was at 9 pm and we were easily the last to leave, they didn 't put any pressure on us to go, even though they must have been longing to press the ejector seat button. Highly recommended.

We walked in at our allotted time. Stood for a couple of minutes while being ignored by staff busying themselves with making up tables etc. Waved toward a table in the corner. Not auspicious but ok. Drinks order taken, we just opted for a litre should have made more than 1 and a half glasses each of white sangria. Which consisted of some chopped apple and orange some white wine not chilled and Ice. Was a bit underwhelming really. We were not really feeling the love at this point. We had some olives and bread and butter. The butter was the pre packed single portion variety. No oil or vinegar etc. We ordered mains.
