"Less touristy than the places near the canals, but touristy in a different way. I like the casual brunch vibe. The brunch itself was only meh: the plain pancakes were soggy with syrup and the coffee was mediocre. The smoked trout pancakes smothered in sauce were tasty because, well, they were smothered in sauce. The granola was the best breakfast item ordered. The banana break was ok, a bit dry and small. Overall, a casual place to enjoy yourself and the people you are with, but just average in every other way (and on the expensive side). Nothing special, but actually that's what kind of made it pleasant because it was unpretentious and easy going"

This is the worst coffee my husband and I have ever drank, it tastes very sour plus the staff are pretty rude. Not a great way to start the day while on holiday.

This cafe is extremely popular and justifiably so. The espresso drinks were perfect and there was a nice variety of sandwiches, salads and cakes. Every time we went to Slake, it was very crowded, but the staff always managed to find us seats. It’s a very welcoming cafe.

We went there for brunch on Sunday and had the grilled cheese with caramelised onions and the Pralines French toast. Both were delicious and hearty. The Chai tea was disappointing though, as the spices flavors were too subtle, and it was served lukewarm . The place is cosy too.

After 2 weeks in France we were looking for a different breakfast-and were very excited to find this gem. The scrambled eggs and bacon rolls were delicious and the coffee was the best we had in France. We returned the next day and I had the French toast with banana which was also good.

Very very basic coffee. Nothing great and if you’re in the area yea sure grab one just for that caffeine but if you’re travelling all the way here just for coffee, skip this IMO. They also dont roast their own beans and usually feature/uses beans from one local roaster. we relied on TripAdvisor’s review and recommendations so here i am writing this for the benefit of others.

we stopped in this café at the turn of our Lyon ballad (and seeing the many positive comments and we validate this place for lovers of coffee, taste, warm atmosphere. prices remain affordable for the quality of the products offered, the only dish is the availability of chairs/tables because the place is very popular at certain times of the day but servers manage to find you a place. It's a nice place to test!

We came here for a light lunch. Arrived 1210 when the lunch menu starts at 1200. Nearly everything on the small menu was already 'sold out '. We shared a quiche and salad which was a good move as the home made looking quiche was huge and tasty. We came for breakfast and OH enjoyed his yoghurt and granola bowl. My toast was decidedly soggy. However, they do make a great mug of English tea with real tea leaves and boiling water.

Love the vibe of this cute coffee joint. Everyone spoke English and the menu was also in English which was a big plus. It was Rare to see Golden Latte (turmeric latte) on my coffee house so this was a great offering along with Oatmilk. We didn’t get to try the brunch menu just the banana bread which was okay. BUT back to the coffee….LOVED the iced golden so much we can back at a later time and my husband who ordered the milky nitro cold brew earlier tried the iced golden. Iced Golden —10/10 Decor—10/10 super cute with the upscale renovation of a bathtub into a seating couch Service-10/10
