"if they are looking to experience Indian food that is not their traditional massala or corma style dish, then this is the place to try it in paignton. the restaurant serves dine in the South Indian style, which (but is not limited to) contains many seafood or vegetarian options. on the photos are an appetizer of seasoned combed lamb and a total amount of aubergin and peanut curry in a sweet and acidic sauce with cocos rice. it is quite easy to see why this restaurant has been taken in the top 50 Indians of the timeung the guardian in Great Britain, they will pay a little more for the experience, but it is certainly worth it."

Probably the nicest restaurant in Paignton. Good food excellent service. Could do with more vegetarian options.

Very quick and helpful service an amazing amount of food I believe one meal would have easily fed both of us and as we couldn't eat it all the staff packed it for us to take away

we had a fantastic meal, can not recommend the place enough. the price was not bad what they would expect for a sit down menu. the menu is not massive, but has everything they want. service was great personal fantastic just a great place to eat.

Outstanding food. Reasonably priced restaurant with arguably the best Indian food I've eaten outside of India. Very covid safe at the moment and fantastic staff. If they've not sold out, get the lamb shank vindaloo. It's spiced properly and not a blow your head off, show off to the lads, kind of dish. View menu

Don't mistake this restaurant for just a curry house. The food here is top-notch and on a whole other level. However, I can't say the same about the seating. The chairs are new and possibly have been updated in the past year, but they are incredibly uncomfortable. I hope the restaurant addresses this issue soon.

consistency and quality is the key to their local Indian restaurant. we have always found about the years that the food and service is always excellent, both when we eat or take away. the curries are distinctive, well flavored with a good selection. I would like to recommend the east in the west to anyone who visits torbay.

A nice setting and well varied menu. Service wasn't the best however. Had to ask a couple of times for drinks and at one stage all the staff were standing behind the bar all texting on their mobiles whilst we were sat trying to get their attention to order. Had the black pepper lamb main course. Wasn't nice at all. Of course due to the description of the dish I expected it to have a prominent black pepper flavour, which I like, however, it tasted like a bucket of black pepper had been dropped into the pan. came here on Friday night. easy to book, not so easy to park in the vicinity we had to park and walk in a next street. beautiful service of all waiter and beautiful ambiente. good choice of an Indian beer, including a new ipa. had pappadums then hühnertikka, house fish court plus 3 sweet dishes plus rice and chapatis. all good quality and good size plus excellent taste. we had 2.5 pints beer and a glass wee for 3 people that came all to £85. overall this is one of the three best Indian restaurants I visited, rival restaurants in in india recommend

Really lovely meal, some of the best Indian Food I have ever eaten. This looks a modest restaurant from the outside but the staff are very nice, freindly and welcoming. Service was great but the food was something else! My son had the mixed grill. He loves food and woks in a restaurant, he said it was fantastic. My other two had a tandoori chicken dish which also was lovely. Jane had the Kerala king prawn curry, she was very impressed and said it was the best ever. I had Lamb shank Vindaloo, it was not as hot as I expected, much more subtle, the boys dipped their nans in and we all agreed, absolutely lovely.
