"if they are looking to experience Indian food that is not their traditional massala or corma style dish, then this is the place to try it in paignton. the restaurant serves dine in the South Indian style, which (but is not limited to) contains many seafood or vegetarian options. on the photos are an appetizer of seasoned combed lamb and a total amount of aubergin and peanut curry in a sweet and acidic sauce with cocos rice. it is quite easy to see why this restaurant has been taken in the top 50 Indians of the timeung the guardian in Great Britain, they will pay a little more for the experience, but it is certainly worth it."

We researched potential Indian restaurants to eat at in Paignton and came across East in the West. It was great food and friendly service (although a little slow). Would definitely recommend a visit.

Our first visit here. We were all very impressed with the service, decor and the wonderful food. Certainly we all agreed the best we've had. Would definitely recommend and we will be going back very soon. View menu

Came here again for another lovely evening meal mid-week. Pappadums, chicken tikka, fish and prawn dish with 2 vegetable (aubergine and sag) dishes and chapatis with beer and wine. For 3 of us came to £85. Great again….with excellent service, ambience and quality quantity of food. Fully recommend

Went to the new Torquay East in the West. The restaurant is very nice, the food was nice, service staff just OK but there downfall was when we came yo pay the couldn't get our bills correct we spent a good half hour or more trying to sort it out. They need to update there system. For this reason our group will NOT be returning. View menu

Family meal and as the only Indian restaurant in Paignton there is anywhere else to go. Slight smell of fish/mould as you walk in but we soon got use to it. Starters were lovely except the Lamb Boti which wasn’t up to its usual standard. Our mains all tasted lovely, not very hot (heat) which always surprises me with any restaurant! Rices and nan bread were amazing. One thing to point out, get some CIF cleaner on the doors in the toilets and make them clean! It is the little details that make the difference….

Polite, courteous staff giving a very prompt service. I appreciated the staff for re-making a meal for me as I could not eat anything with coconut milk in! They went out of their way to produce a new meal for me after me mentioning that I cant eat the original meal due to it's contents! The quality of the food was fantastic. Even the cab drivers that took us to and from the restaurant said that it was the place to go to for this type of meal. Maddie went out of her way to ensure that we had the best experience at this location.

"We use this place to wow our clients. From large corperate to small business owners, each (wish I could swear to emphasise here) love this place. This IS the best Tapas, if not, best restaurant locally. A fine dining menu with a friendly, relaxed, yet special feel. They nail a multitude of cuisines, with each dish being the best variation of it i've tasted. Now i'm only in my (late) 20's, but our clients vary and all of which that have come here agree and never want to leave. Each time they come to visit us, we don't firstly look at agenda's, we look to see if we can get a seat here. The chefs are excellent, but you don't always come back just because the food is great, which is why Sara and her team are the best at what they do. Sara makes everyone feel special and really knows cares about her stuff. She deals with each situation perfectly and even when i've had to sit and cringe at situations, she spins it expertly, avoids any awkwardness and ends up making even the worst jokes seemingly brilliant. You have the likes of the elephant/ other boujee' fine dining restaurants which when we have a client used to be first the options we'd think of, but now it's nothing other than here. The others have a pretensious aura and make lovely meals in a stale atmosphere, but not here as you can enjoy the occasion and company just as much as the amazing food. My one and only critism is that it's now impossible to find another place to take our clients, which is why I returned with the same client on Thursday and they couldn't be happier. I could write a lot more, but won't be a bore, so i'll end by saying thank you for keeping going. I first came to you after you recently opened, with my father and his spanish friend (a typical spanish bloke... a big headed chef, which your food is the first he did not critique). You were seemingly struggling and it even felt like you were close to giving up. We're all glad you didn't. Thank you Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"
