"It was very cold outside and the place looked lovely. Good location just opposite Frauenkirche. First impression inside very positive, warm and cosy. First contact with the personnel not so positive, all tables booked for later, but a couple were just ready and offered us their table. The waitress told us we could have it for 1,5 hours, not more. We accepted. We ordered the main course directly, schnitzel from venison and a bottle of Barbera. We did not like any of it. The food was bland, the sauce not good and the vegetables over cooked. The wine was not worth half the 22,60 it costed. Still the place was really full and several visitors had to be turned away. Could be a great place but change in kitchen necessary."

to remind us of the Bavarian we left, we wanted to feed in this very friendly restaurant where the waiters (and waiters) wore Bavarian clothes.

A wide variety of Swiss - German, French and Italian - dishes. Cozy atmosphere, nicely decorated. Good service and fair price for the middle of the city.

I found the food to be authentic and tasty. Definitely try for area food. The chef is very good. Worth a try. I found that most of the food in Dresden wasn't top notch. Hearty and filling.

Excellent venue with reasonable prices and very polite and helpful staff. This is very much worth a visit if you are in Dresden. It is very handy to the main traffic area and geeting a table is not too much trouble.

eating (spaghetti carbonara) was totally delicious. the portion looked small, but we were more than tired after that, great, warm baguette with first-class olive oil. the prices absolutely moderate and the pizza looked great.

we have just been able to enjoy extremely delicious pasta frutti di mare, great fresh fish, delicious wine and a small selection of sweet tasty deserts. we have been served all night very cordially and courteously. I come out of hh and look forward to being back in dresden soon and then a dinner in the noble white is of course a duty!Alexander dremsizis

"I stayed at the hotel in which this restaurant is situated, it is on the 5th floor, and I passed it a couple of times but it was always empty. One reason, I think, is that the menu is rather obscure, with slashes between the dish description as inscallop/saffron/guava/back puddingA little off- putting, I felt. However, as a lone diner, I was getting pretty fed up of waiting for bad food each evening, although in a beautiful setting, Dresden's main square and its surrounds. So on my last night I treated myself and got a table on the roof terrace. The waitress was very helpful and friendly, and produced a good selection of bread. It's clear there are 5 courses, an appetiser, a hot starter, a soup course, a main and dessert. I didn't want the soup. This wasn't a problem. To start, I had quail's egg/chick/gorgonzola/rocket, but it was so much more than that! It had a delicious fried bread cube, a gorgonzola sorbet, and crumbled herbs to garnish. It was, superb. But the description is selling itself short! The hot starter was also good, scallops in a saffron sauce, with a black pudding jelly. The "guava" ends up on the dish as a smear, nothing more. My main was beef/capers/sour cherries/ smoked aubergine, but again, more- a delicious sauce, and perfect mash- a small amount, but perfect....There are 3 dessert options, I enjoyed a nougat with gold leaf. In all, the food was beautifully presented, and the best food in Dresden so far, on a par, that is, with Kallemeiers where you have to book a table. This place deserves the same popularity but is selling itself short with the odd menu descriptions. It scares people off, like myself. I urge you to go and try for yourself. There's a great evening to be had, in a stunning setting."
