"We’ve visited this venue for breakfast on many occasions over the years. In the main, the food and service has always been good. On a recent visit we were a bit disappointed. I had the American style pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. My husband had kippers with toast. The pancakes were ok. The bacon was tasty but had obviously been cooked earlier and was therefore rather dry. The plate was swamped with maple syrup and therefore the bottom pancakes very soggy. The dish could so easily have been made much better by simply drizzling a little syrup over the plate and putting the rest in a little jug. The kippers were lovely but my husband’s complaint was the toast. For a farmshop professing to use the very best ingredients, it was disappointing to find the single round of toast was a piece of supermarket medium sliced wholemeal. No butter provided. Prices aren’t cheap and we really expected a chunk of the nice bread that they sell in the shop on the premises. Wouldn’t cost much more but makes a huge difference. The breakfast menu is very good and varied. Prices slightly above average which is fine as long as food is good quality and nicely served. I feel things need to be tweaked a bit to ensure people don’t move along to other restaurants. Service was friendly and efficient"

I have been before and it was nice, however this time was so disappointing and I only ate as I was so hungry. Waited nearly 30 minutes for a sandwich, which was an overpriced sandwich with poor quality ingredients, I would have got better from Greggs. I will not be going back.

Stopped here for brunch on our way to Norfolk. It was extremely busy but the staff were still very friendly and helpful. We had a small breakfast and gluten free bacon and eggs. Both were excellent and well cooked. Happy to recommend and there was a good farm shop there as well where we were able to buy some fillet steak which was very tasty and tender.

Food and service awful. My wife and I were kept waiting for several minutes and were totally ignored by a very rude young lady who did not acknowledge our presence in anyway. The Breakfast was brought out pretty quick so can only imagine the contents had been around as Sausage Tomato Bacon was cold and the baked beans were congealed cold the tea arrived after the breakfast very strange. We won’t be returning.

On Monday, February 26th, 2024, I was seated quickly at the restaurant. I ordered a special lunch: corned beef hash with fresh eggs on top, made with chunky corned beef. For dessert, I had apple and cinnamon crumble with ice cream, topped with fresh apple matchsticks and a crunchy biscuit. The meal was delicious and only cost twenty pounds. The service was fast and the waitresses were very friendly. I would give this restaurant a 5-star rating.

We had lunch with our family on a Sunday and had a great experience. The food was excellent - my husband enjoyed the roast pork, while my son and I loved the Cauliflower Steak (vegetarian option), which was absolutely delicious. The desserts were also fantastic, especially for those who are gluten free. They have non-dairy milk and decaf coffee available as well. The staff were very friendly and were happy to explain why they only accept card payments. I highly recommend this restaurant, as it also has a wonderful farm shop and gift shop. You can even bring your furry friend to the Dog Scone cafe, where they serve the same delicious food.

Visited yesterday for lunch and a browse around the food and home shop. Always expect to pay more for the quality and service here. Nothing fancy just ciabatta with sausages , and one with Beef. You’d expect for 12.95 that you could taste and possible see the filling. Beef, extra thin, 1/2 slice. Sausages! Just the 1, small and cut horizontally into 3 and spread across the bread. I know there’s s certain amount of cost cutting, but this was ridiculous. Staff, shocking. Didn’t know what they were doing and walking around aimlessly pretending to look busy and ignoring customers. Won’t ever go back. Sorry. Used to love visiting, but will take my business elsewhere.

The experience was very disappointing. We were excited to try out a new dog-friendly establishment, but unfortunately we were left unimpressed. The menu was on the pricier side, which we were willing to overlook, but the quality and value were lacking. The cheeseburger was priced at £17 and was quite small, with some of the chips being inedible. The pork chop special came with the option of adding vegetables for an extra £4.50, which we did not expect. The dessert menu was limited and pricey, so we opted out. While the dog biscuit bar was nice, £2 for one biscuit seemed excessive. The service was slow despite the lack of customers. Overall, we were let down by the experience and will not be...
