Great cafe, serving great food, with great staff and great coffee. What more do you want. As friendly and happy as any staff encountered anywhere. Bacon rolls are amazing.

I have booked Embo's outside catering twice and never been disappointed. High quality food served with imagination. Would highly recommend and will definitely use them again.

Best breakfast ever! Not only was the staff so warm and friendly, but they offered additional suggestions to make my egg sandwich the best egg sandwich I’ve ever had. Made by the effervescent and lovely Sophie! I will be coming back for more tomorrow

Embo provided catering for our family funeral. They were friendly, efficient, and served delicious food. They were able to accommodate our mostly vegan guests with little notice. The menu was creative and well-received by everyone. We would definitely use their services again and highly recommend them.

Food safety and hygiene are completely disregarded in the place. I saw a young man making a wrap with his bare hands, he got sauce on his fingers…. Licked it off and then straight away used the same fingers to put chicken on a wrap Is this place for real? We were going to eat lunch here but clearly saw this and just left. I absolutely adore this small cafe. The food is fantastic, high quality, incredibly delicious, and I appreciate the creativity in their tasty combinations. The staff is extremely friendly. I was particularly impressed by the man who prepared my food (possibly the owner or manager) - he is very knowledgeable and clearly enjoys making food for people. The interior of the cafe is also very lovely. I highly recommend a visit.

I stopped by to see if I could bring my one-year-old in her stroller and was greeted by incredibly friendly and helpful staff. They helped me navigate the steps with the stroller and opened the double doors for me, showing me where to park the stroller. The person at the counter was so kind and made me, my friend, and later my husband, delicious wraps (Mexican for me, and Italian for them). It was wonderful to feel so welcomed and relaxed, even with my toddler in tow. Thank you, Embo, for a great experience.

It has been s long time since I last visited Embo but I returned on another couple of days in November for more of their wraps, either outside on one of the two tables set outside the entrance at the top of the stairs if the weather was good or to order a wrap to takeaway in the last week when Edinburgh became colder this autumn. Nice staff and good service. Great for breakfast, a coffee or brunch. I ordered a Mexican wrap without chilli on my first two visits and tried the Falafel wrap most recently. They take their time to put their wraps together and the quality shows in their ingredients, which can be seen in the chilled counter. Sit in also possible. I'll be back again, as do many other...
