"It's a strange phenomenon that you never encounter any Thai folks dining in Thai restaurants in London, maybe like the Italians they prefer to cook their meals at home or Mama knows best.At least when we turned up at this restaurant in Shepherd’s Bush we encountered some Thai diners. Like the ambience of the place the owner seemed downright miserable, but he did manage a few smiles when needed. When I prompted him on what I should order, he immediately reacted by saying everytink on menu goot'. Abided by a minute of silence he suddenly blurted out I like beep salat and today pomflett goot'. And sure enough both the charcoal grilled sirlion strips of beef salad and whole pomfret were indeed superb. The Tom Yum Koong could have been spicier but tasty nonetheless. Finally we also managed to lick the platter of the Pad Thai noodles clean as it was that good.Thank you Mr Puntar, Mr Owner, for all your efforts and the lovely food.Forget about the pretentions from the other Thai joints in the West End and the toned down cooking of the ubiquitous ones attached to pubs all over, this is the real thing, warts and all. Enjoy."

wow thai is best. it's been 20 years since I was here, the time has aged a few of the family, but eating is still amazing, real wfm, we went around 9ish on a Friday night, good in the worth of 20min waiting

Correct me if I am wrong, but to my knowledge the Shepherd's Bush area is not exactly packed with exciting restaurants. So where eat, when you go to a gig at Bush Hall or the Shepherd's Bush Empire or see a play at the Bush Theatre? Th View menu

quite good thai place. The only problem with this place is that it is very dark inside so don't get expectation about the atmo...The food is very good and affordable. The staff is pleasant and will do everything with a smile. It is an authentic thai place.

I'm sorry to say that because the service was very good and all there was very friendly, but I have to say that eating was not good at the night we went. we ordered noodles w/huhn, a red curry and a couple of Entree plates. the arrivals were good, but the netzen were unfortunately very bad! Maybe the courts we ordered were disappointed.

deee licious! my friend and I had a Fab time in esarn kheaw last night! we had a 6pm booking that was the beginning of dinner and the restaurant quickly produced a healthy, atmospheric buzz. the chap serving us (the one who, I think, could have been the owner, was such a joy that was thrilled about eating, extremely informative, attentive, and gave us an air of positiveity that was directly in our environment. at the beginning we shared the thai sausages and jump rolls absolutely delicious. Good First Impressions. I went to Esarn Kheaw this evening with my girlfriend this evening. The papaya salad to start was tasty, with the right amount of chili but too much fish sauce for my girlfriend. The fishcakes had a star anise flavour and were average in flavour and above average in size. The Ox tripe soup I had for a main course was a truly delicious hot and sour mix of flavours. The red curry with prawns my girlfriend asked for wasn't on the menu, but they were happy to oblige. She has red prawn curry at every Thai restaurant we go to and she assures me it was above average, although she didn't like the bitter aubergine peas it was served with.
