"Spontan kehrten wir auf der Außenterrasse des Brauhaus Schönbuch in Calw ein. Trotz des Stadtfestes gab es noch viele freie Plätze im Freien. Die Bedienung kümmerte sich sofort um uns, servierte zügig und fragte mehrmals höflich nach. Das Brauhaus ist ein historisches Fachwerk-Gebäude, das durch Erweiterungen und Umbauten zur Vollgastronomie umgestaltet wurde. Im Inneren ist es großzügig, sehr luftig durch die hohe Decke und trotzdem modern gestaltet. Familien und Gruppen finden hier gut Platz. Die Lage ist sehr zentral. Von der Hauptstraße ist es schon zu sehen. Das Parkplatzangebot in der Umgebung ist ausreichend.."

"We visited the small city of Calw to make reality an old dream of my wife to know the birthplace of her favorite German writer, Hermann Hesse, whose many books she read during her adolescence back in Mexico City. After visiting the Hesse museum and...strolling around the old town, we were a bit hungry and it was raining, many places were closed and using Google Maps we found the "Zum Alten Calwer" restaurant, it was hard to see, tucked underground next to a bar/bistro. It was worth! They only had a menu in German, but after exchanging with Susy, the hostess, we decided for a grilled fish plate for my wife and a typical Wienerschnitzel (breaded pork chops) and fries; our meal was delicious, including their awesome house dessert. Then the owner, Thomas, approached us and we started chatting, he was very friendly and fun; he invited us to a sweet digestif. In all we had a great time, a perfect ending for our European tour"

"Tonight we were at four dinners. Before dinner was excellent. We had all steaks. Us Rib Eye, Filet, Rumpsteak Putensteak The cooktops as well as the taste were completely top. The steaks that are definitely worth the price are not necessarily cheap. The general design of the restaurant is based more on chic. What you can't say about the service. Good food is not enough. The restaurant was not empty, but also not excessively full. When we were taken to our table about 15 minutes after our arrival, we finally received the beverage orders that you did not feel welcome. The eyes stare at the Order. And every statement and question of the waitress was only annoyed. After some time the drinks came and we could order our food. Here too the rejection behavior. Interesting was also, we had a total of 5 × iced tea that was brought 5 times different. with ice without lemon, without ice without lemons, only with organs etc. Something is not going, so I expect in the village of Kneipe around the corner, but not in a good restaurant. The white wine was also always brought into various glasses. When it was addressed, one got an eye role and a boa. There were still some other situations that are not necessary here.
