"Visited recently, first ever visit. Lovely selection of merchandise, whether it be plants or otherwise. Nice cafe too, although the cakes were a bit on the sweet side. Very disappointed regarding you refusal to accept cash. As someone who works in retail I understand why, but seeing as most other businesses( including my company), continue to accept cash without question, you could potentially be turning business away by not accepting it. Yes paying by card is easier but cash is still legal so would be nice to have the option to pay that way."

The food at this restaurant was incredible. I highly recommend trying the pie. It had a delicious homemade herby crust, tender steak in a rich sauce, a generous serving of gravy, and a side of mushy peas. It was absolutely perfect.

£2.29 for each scone. Surely they should be able to get the sizing consistently right. See picture. Masks, track and trace, sanitizer and even spray the chairs... but every customer has to go and grab their own cutlery out of the cutlery box. Seems a bit counter productive.

It was nearly impossible to find a table at this restaurant, as it was extremely crowded. The employee wearing a Santa hat who was cleaning tables was unfriendly and made the experience unpleasant. We decided to leave without placing an order since there was no available seating.

We had a juice each and a large omelette and cheese and onion toastie. Both delicious and filling. Especially the omelette. It was huge and had bacon, sausage, mushrooms and cheese in it. The sauce satches are great as they are easy to peel (for a change) and tasty. Great service too. Very well impressed.

Cozy, warm and ambient. I had a jacket spud with prawns in sauce and a salad dressing. The prawns were excellent. The potato nice and fluffy. Adrian had burger of the day...chicken with a hash brown. This came with chips and coleslaw. Tested a couple of pieces. Beautiful. I cannot fault anything we had today nor previously. Still stuffed four hours later. Thanks to the team for excellent service too.

We ordered cheese, pickle, and red onion sandwiches along with a pot of tea for two. Although the dinners being offered looked delicious and mouth-watering, we decided to have our dinner at home later in the evening. Other customers seemed to be enjoying their meals, which were generously portioned. The restaurant was clean and we received good service from cheerful staff. Thank you for a pleasant experience.

Didn’t want to cook, so popped along to this dog friendly cafe. Lovely lunch of liver and onions and quiche and salad very good value. I’m guessing the liver was cooked to order as it took a while, but was absolutely delicious served atop a huge mound of leek and bacon mash in a rich gravy. The only gripe is the lack of vegetables would be better to halve the portion of mash and add some peas. Extremely tasty leek and ham quiche with a lovely mixed salad and coleslaw. Friendly service with a smile.

Visited for fish and chips on a Friday lunchtime which was nice. However I don’t think I’ll go back because I enjoy nice coffee and whilst I appreciate it’s difficult to find good coffee, the flat white I was served was very poor. Basically a filter coffee with some froth on top The actual place has very little in the way of soft furnishings. Consequently, it’s difficult to hear yourself speak above all the background noise, and uncomfortable hard seats didn’t help the experience, as for the cost of the cakes, extortionate.
