Fabulous restaurant that 3 of us visited this week whilst on holiday. Great food and atmosphere; with lovely service and house rose. Thoroughly recommended.

Fantastic. We had early dinner with two adults, one baby and a 5yr old. Because the menu is short and changes daily it's a bit of a gamble but it really paid off. If kids aren't a consideration I'd recommend it unreservedly. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £40–50

We were excited to attend this restaurant but had our child fall ill the evening due to attend. I emailed the restaurant to apologise for the no show a few days later, as they proceeded to charge me £100 for a no show fee! Stating they're unable to refund despite circumstance, and the amount seems very excessive. Visitors beware!

The atmosphere is stylish yet relaxed, creating a comfortable dining experience without any pretentiousness. They offer a well-curated wine list featuring selections from small organic vineyards. The menu is concise, focused on fresh, local ingredients, and is simply outstanding. The service is impeccable without being intrusive. This restaurant is a true gem. Price per person: £50–60. We ate here on Friday as a last minute walk in. Rosie was incredibly welcoming and personable, answering all our questions and indulging our curiosity. Thank you for making our evening! The food itself was as good as the welcome! Lobster absolutely divine, lamb succulent and flavourful and the cauliflower and crab starter something I will remember for a while rendered us all speechless for a couple moments. Really nice surroundings, appropriate music and excellent food. Well worth the prices. Thanks to the chefs and Rosie!

Why 3 Stars? The restaurant is stylish and the food is of high quality. The service, while not the fastest, was warm and friendly. However, the main issue is the relationship between prices and portion sizes, which felt outrageous. With only four main dishes to choose from, it was challenging to find something that appealed to other diners in my group. Fitzroy had a somewhat pretentious vibe, almost experimental, and seemed very self-involved in a philosophical sense. It brought to mind an American sketch comedy show called Portlandia (a somewhat obscure reference). The most horrendous restaurant experience of my life to date. Greeted by an arrogant waiter, we were moaned at because they had got the number of diners wrong on the booking (the extra diner was my 7 year old nephew, which I had told the waitress about when I booked the table). The waiter sat us at a different table and said ‘since you have an extra person we weren’t aware of, is there any other allergies on the table?’ I had already informed the waitress when I booked that the 7 year old had a nut allergy.
