"This place should be avoided if you can I was with wife the tall skinny owner is the most arragont obnoxious person I have ever encountered he is doing you a favour talking to you so he thinks plus he is in need of a hose now for the bad points does not matter what you order all tastes of the plastic tubs it’s been sat in the kitchen before they microwave the meat of all the dishes we had was over nuked hard and crispy rice is dry and noodles are mixed from chow mein to thin Japanese you would honestly get better food at your local North Korean waste site all cheap no substance and the only fortune is his after you paid"

Couldn 't fault it. Lovely food, service and staff. We had the set menu and a couple of cheeky extras. Staff very accommodating with our 'leftovers '.

First last visit to this restraint. Food just acceptable. Poor slow service. Used plates left on table too long. Staff would benefit from customer awareness training. Sorry, but could nor recommend this restraint. View menu

The food was excellent, exceeding my expectations, and reasonably priced. The restaurant was very crowded on a Saturday night, even early on, so it's advisable to make a reservation. We definitely plan on coming back.

My family I have been dining here for several years always enjoyed it. Since lockdown I think that it's got even better!! The lettuce wraps are scrummy, as is the clam with spring onions ginger. My husband says they do the best hot sour soup Singapore noodles ever!! We've always found the staff very welcoming, cheerful efficient! View menu

We have ordered takeout from Fortune Palace several times, but this was our first time dining in. We had a fantastic experience! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, which was of excellent quality with generous portion sizes and reasonable prices. The service was great too - friendly, polite, and unobtrusive, just as we would expect from a small, local restaurant. It was nice to see the restaurant bustling on a Thursday evening, and we may make dining at Fortune Palace a regular occurrence.

The food at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. Everything we tried was excessively greasy, including the soup. The prawn crackers were oily and the sweet chilli dip was not enjoyable. The starters seemed to be of low quality, and the steak was fatty. Even the rice had a greasy taste. We paid £36 for the set meal and were disappointed to find that they did not offer any draught beer. This was one of the worst dining experiences we have ever had and we will not be returning. The service from the waiters was also subpar.

"After reading the reviews we was really looking forward to eating here ,however it turned out to be the worst tapas and worst service we have ever received . After waiting 10 minutes for someone to take our drinks order we then waited a further 30 mins to be served with what can only be described as toast with tasteless mushed up tomatoes on , this was inedible and hardly touched , a further 20 minutes on and we was served a single dish of chicken between two of us again this was very bland and resembled nothing like a original tapas dish more like a chicken korma again this was hardly touched . When I enquired as to where the rest of the food was I was told they was very busy . With this we decided to cut our loses and asked for the bill . Before leaving we tried to have a conversation with the manager who is also the chef to give some honest feedback ,however he wasn’t open to listening , he’s response was “it’s normal in a tapas restaurant to receive one dish at a time between two with a large gap between dishes wasn’t it explained to you that’s what tapas is “We felt this was a very patronising remark as we eat tapas on a regular basis and know this is definitely not the case . To matters worse there was people who came in after us with multiple plates and tucking in nicely to their meals . The manager who was obviously struggling to cope on a busy Saturday night should have just apologised and admitted our order had been overlooked . If you are looking for authentic Tapas with excellent service in Wigan go to Casa Carlos this place doesn’t deserve your hard earned money ."
