"Booked a birthday Sunday lunch. First visit. Easy to find. Car park quite small so I had to park on the road up on the muddy bank, but it was safe. Warm welcome. Lovely warm inside and could smell the fire which was inviting. We was shown to our table which was extremely snug and my husband had difficulty getting his chair out to sit down. It was full of patrons (2pm) and there was one spare table available and the staff asked if we wanted it as I think she could see that we were a little uncomfortable. We moved to the last table available which was more roomy. We all opted for the Sunday roast. Could have done with 2 Yorkshire puddings as they were quite small (size of aunt Bessie) and one wasn’t quite enough. The meal was very lovely and we all cleared out plates. Proper home cooked food. Good size portions. We had puddings which again were delicious and generous. The staff are very friendly: the pub had a really lovely atmosphere. The floor is cobbly with steps inside so need to be careful. Would definitely return and perhaps sit in the garden which I understand has been newly refurbished."

First visit to this place. The food was very nice although quite pricy but we had to wait 45 minutes from ordering until we got our food.

We booked with friends to go to a Spanish evening with Tapas. The pub had taken £10 delist so they knew the had 80 coming. But the poor staff could not cope with the volume of people. We tried to get a drink from the...

Went for dinner with daughter and grandson Absolutely shocking service. Walked out after an unacceptable wait drinks. The lack of customers should have been a warning. Never been before and will not return. Very disappointed.

Went here for an anniversary lunch. Extensive menu/ good selection of beers/ very pleasant and efficient service/nice beer garden/ reasonable prices. Ploughman's Lunch and Fish Platter were excellent and huge! Would recommend.

This pub had no old world charm, just looked scruffy. Staff pleasant but poorly untidily dressed. Pub freezing cold with no fire lit, even on a very chilly day. Food very average, with tepid hot drinks, in cold cups. Poor experience, all round.

This historic pub is so lovely and cozy and has a lot of history as a pirate ‍ haunts the pub apparently. We stopped in to this pub on the way back from the coast onto London for an evening meal but although the pub is wonderful, there are a few flaws I’m afraid. We all ate in the restaurant but it was very cold

Just want to thank the Fox and Hounds we had a family party in the form of a buffet. Absolutely spot on. We had a lovely time, staff so friendly, helpful, food great, plenty of it and really well priced. We have been here several times before always a good time and food always great. Highly recommend. Thank you to all the happy friendly staff.

Booked lunch for 4 oldies on a quiet Monday. So different from our last crowded Sunday-fun all-age all-nations visit but still ticked all the boxes for a really nice Pub. Good choice of interesting beers, excellent choice of good food, prepared with remarkable attention to detail. First pub I 've been to in a long time that had proper linen napery and napkins! Or you can use the wood booths if you don 't fancy the full 'restaurant ' experience. Mariella was an engaging host/barperson/server and nothing was too much trouble. The whole place is 'haunted history ', but will someone please rescue the rusting white VW permanently displayed in the little carpark, before it joins the haunting?

"Tarana Review of Tarana restaurant Lingfield , location is very prominent , on the main High Street. The restaurant can be easily be seen on the high street after passing the roundabout as you enter the high street . As you enter the front door , you quickly realise it’s so large in size and very spacious with colourful lighting. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated with a wow factor , great ambiance . As you walk through there is lounge bar area on the left to enjoy a drink before you are seated to your table. Tonight we are here to dine and enjoy the Dua Lipa live tribute singing and dancing so great atmosphere here tonight ! They have a wonderful range of cocktails non alcoholic and alcoholic with exciting range of drink menu . Great if you’re driving and not in to alcohol , the choice is unlimited unlike your usual typical indian with basic soft drinks . There is dance floor to do some hip hop or just slow , choice is yours! We have been to most of their restaurants and it’s “simply the best” in terms of entertainment food and drinks . The prices are very reasonable for what you get from them and service is wonderful with a smile King prawn butterflies appetisers and king purree , wonderful and nicely flavoured, served with designer chillies and salad . Main courses , Tiger Prawn biryani King prawn biryani duck biryani with side dishes of fresh bindi bhaji sag bhaji tarka dall wow ! Simply mind blowing food "
