Giggling Squid - Menu

The food was overpriced and tasted subpar. The dumplings were served cold and the curry dish left me feeling sick. I do not recommend this restaurant.

We had to wait a little because the restaurant was busy, but our food was served quickly after we placed our order. The flavors were more of a fusion style rather than authentic, but still delicious.

The manager remembered us from our previous visit did all she could to provide efficient service, a nicely positioned table lovely food which is always beautifully presented. First ate lunch here last September and it was very good, tasty, not expensive and attentive staff. So we came back again in January as it is also a convenient location near the bank and shops. The staff were very helpful with my elderly parents. Definitely recommend the Thai Green Curry and the Royal Set.

Love Thai food and the Giggling Squid didn’t disappoint. Very busy but the service was very good. Spring rolls were excellent as were the prawn crackers and sauce. Our two main meals were chicken curries and both were very tasty. Our choice to have sticky rice and this was disappointing. With the current climate a number of drink options were unavailable but the red wine was acceptable. The meal was so delicious we’ll refrain from complaining about the compulsory service charge. My husband and I booked a table prior to attending the theatre in town. As we were eating fairly early the restaurant was quiet on our arrival and we had good service. However we were disappointed by the food. We ordered a selection of different starters to share and my husband also had a massamam curry with sticky rice. The best dish was the chicken satay. The duck spring rolls contained mainly vegetables you had to hunt the duck! Whilst the pork skewers were not very tasty and looked dried up on the skewer. The drink selection was good and it was nice to enjoy a “mini” dessert each, but overall we were disappointed and wouldn’t choose to eat here again. There are plenty of other restaurant...

Good food and good ambience. Pleasantly surprised to see a different menu of choices. Food was freshly prepared and varied and not the typical curry sauce being used over and over again. For example the spicy chicken had fresh peppers (black and green peppers that are ultimately dried)Appetizers were good, kids menu is for smal children (Upto yrs). Service was fine but mains took a bit longer at peak time (around despite ordering all at once. We should asked for the mains to be delivered right after the appetizers.
