"Ginger and Pickles is our favourite place to eat in Nantwich. We make a 50 mile round trip to visit Nantwich regularly. We always tell our friends to go to Ginger and Pickles. We are visiting Nantwich this Saturday with 4 friends. I rang to book a table, as it is popular and busy and knew we would struggle to get a table for 6. However I was extremely disappointed to be told they don't take bookings at weekends unless it's afternoon tea, saying they prioritise these. I am struggling to understand how a table for 6 for lunch would be less profitable than a table for afternoon tea. Feeling very disappointed UPDATE Thank you for responding Matthew. We did call in and managed to get a table for 6. The service wasn't the best as food came at different times and one couple had nearly finished by the time the 3rd couples food was brought out. It was madly busy. However the food was delicious and we all enjoyed it. Our friends said they would visit again due to the food being so good and we will also visit again"

Extremely busy at lunchtime. Long wait for food. Had quiented down by the time we left. Might have just been unlucky with our timing.

Popped in for a freshly-baked sourdough and coffee. Can confirm the bread is 10/10 and so was my latte. Lovely server and generally a really nice atmosphere.

My daughter suggested this cafe and we were very pleased. They offer gluten and lactose free options and are dog-friendly, which is great. The staff is really friendly.

Lovely place ,very friendly staff and food was absolutely delicious. Teacakes were the nicest my wife has ever had, so much so that she popped to the bakery across the road and purchased some more. View menu

We enjoyed our pulled pork baps and freshly brewed leaf tea. We did not realise it was a dog friendly establishment. Whilst we enjoyed our food, we are unlikely to return as we do not feel comfortable eating our food next to dogs, but that is our personal preference.

Ordered the Breakfast Burrito and I have to say it was poor. Ingredients sounded delicious but the execution was not good. Needed to be grilled for much longer as the cheese was over powering. Also, the sausage was very dry and very hard. All in all not a good dish. Staff seemed pleasant enough and location was ideal, but this particular meal left a bad taste, literally.

We came here for afternoon tea as a party of 6. The place is absolutely charming, the decor and the little touches around the place made it a lovely experience. The afternoon tea was delicious and reflected the cost. I preferred the cakes to the sandwiches, I felt the bread could have been softer. One afternoon tea tier served 3 of us and we had plenty of cakes to take home. All in all a lovely place and a very pleasant afternoon. Thank you View menu

What a little gem this cafe is, ticks all the boxes but definitely the pleasant and helpful staff making it a return again experience. My daughter and l went for a coffee, the cafe was very busy but we were still made to feel welcome. We returned later for lunch where again the staff were wonderful even though busy still went above and beyond to make you welcome. We also shopped at The Bakehouse across the road where the incredible delicious pastries are baked to eat in the cafe and yes, the staff are just as friendly there and extremely helpful. Thank you Heather for your kindness

Having been a regular customer for years I wanted to leave a review to say how disappointing the new set up and menu is. We’ve always loved visiting Ginger and Pickles but the new arrangement has hardly any tables suitable for a family of four and what there is is situated far too close to other tables. We usually visit with our dog but there’s no longer any room for him to sit under the table and I don’t think it’s fair on other diners to have him forced to sit so close to their tables. This was not a problem with the old arrangement as there was a suitable distance between tables. The ‘bench’ seat making up the seating for the tables in the back room is so narrow it is uncomfortable. The n...

"Visiting Crewe with my wife we decided to take an early lunch at Miller and Carter. Our choice of restaurant being influenced by an earlier experience at the Telford outlet. Receiving a warm greeting from Reception we were shown to our table by David, who was to be our server throughout the meal. The Fixed Price Menu seemed to meet our needs and we ordered starters of salt and pepper calamari and sticky chipotle chicken. The main course being two 7 oz Rump steaks, one served with a mixed salad and the other with onion loaf, tomato, and seasoned fries. Drinks comprised a glass of a very pleasing South African merlot and a Fevertree tonic water. The meal met with our expectations and the steaks (cooked medium) had just the right degree of pinkness. The dishes were well prepared, nicely presented, and the steaks in particular were full of flavour. Competitively priced at £16.25 per head for a 2-course lunch, or £19.25 if wanting a dessert, we thought it represented very good value for money. The restaurant gave out a pleasant ambience and the spacious seating ensured comfort in just the right setting. Mention should also be made of the washroom facilities which were as to be expected. Having spent a good number of years in Hospitality Management I could not fault our young attendant David, who we both thought performed his tasks to a high standard. Happy to recommend."
