"About once a year I think to myself ooh I really fancy a Chinese' we used the golden pavilion as live near by we ordered chicken chow mein, sweet and sour king prawns, chips and curry sauce. We phoned the other through and told...it would be ready to collect in mins being hungry you think woo hoo' but then it does make you wonder how they can produce a meal so fast! Anyway the food was hot and edible although we can't say we particularly enjoyed it the prawns were rather tough and coated in a not very pleasant tasting batter. The sweet and sour sauce was rather runny and tasteless. The chow mein was bland and greasy the curry sauce seemed to be packet mix.... Chinese takeaway used to be a cheap' option but now it seems so expensive for what seems inferior quality ingredients. After eating this we were immediately reminded why we only seem to ever have one Chinese a year there not especially nice and are very overpriced!!! We'll stick with Indians in future!"

Used to be the best, but I think the new owners have gone for a cheaper supplier and an inexperienced cook.

This used to be the best Chinese takeaway in town but no longer. I think it has new owners but the quality has gone down hill, hopefully they'll find their way back.

Both Kung po and Sweet and sour dish doused with same sauce. No kick to Kung po. No fresh spring onion or anything. Singapore chow mein tasteless no zing!! Prawn toast stoggy! A disgrace. Won't eat here again!! View menu

eating is always delicious and tastes really good. I would recommend the singapore nudels, salt chili king prawns, satay huhn main meal and sweet and acidic huh. I would like to recommend friends and family to come here.

Staying in the village and decided to get something quick to eat one evening. I was pleasantly surprised with how good the dishes were. Staff very friendly. Only thing is the salt and pepper chicken was more salty than spicy. Other dishes were lovely though.

we had the chance to give this Chinese extract another chance after a few average to bad meals. bad decision the duck with plant sauce was ananas fat dee and a tiny amount of tasteless sauce, no planting was discovered! the pig-kow victor was like gum. everything in all not good. View menu

had one from here in the other night and it was really good in the did! the pancake rolls were well filled and beautiful and crisp. the duck in orange sauce was very good a decent part of the duck on ananas with a...tangy delicious sauce. the chips were excellent, crispy and fluffy. the ribs were fleshy and plentiful. let them be ordered again from here!

On a girls night in we thought we’d have a Chinese and placed an order. Food was ready really quickly and was hot and fresh. Duck in orange was really nice there was rather a lot of pineapple to ‘bulk it out’ but I...do quite like pineapple! The ribs were pretty decent a good amount of meat on them. The chow mein was quickly devoured and mini vegetable spring rolls with sweet chilli dip were most pleasant indeed! We thought the price was fairly reasonable too for the amount of food we had! All in all we were pleasantly surprised!

"this was my birthday contract with the children (in their 40's go to lunch big situation, but the management is missing in action. we smiled at the typos. the menu, but it turned out to be a symptom of deficiency...view to detail. very friendly (but quite inexperienced waiting staff. great location and a very warm welcome. water came pretty fast. the starters were pretty good (3 ham hock croquettes and a panko chicken. the mains were another thing. two fish and chips very nice, good portions and well presented. burger was terrible. here is the menu description 6oz coarsely ground beef burger, candied speck, soft bevel, cheddar cheese, salattomate . the reality was a burger in a bungalow with a piece soggy salat and maybe some cheese. no speck, no tomats, no wobble so £18 for an average qualitysburger and they have to pay extra for riders! To conclude that there was at least 5 10 minutes after the other net, so we sat just wait and had to ask the waitress when it came. description • crispy confit ente bein, herby buttermilk waffel, fried due egg with maple senf dressing the reality that was inspected and watery it looked out and tasted as if it were boiled to death. the herby buttermilk waffel was chewing and certainly in a blind taste test I would swear that there is no more crumble in. to cover, it was cold. the sniffing was nicely spread in the waffles that gave them a taste. we also ordered the knochenmark from the menu. No one had said to the poor waitress that they should have been ordered to tell the diners what was going on and no. the menu. when we complained, the manager had not even come the courtesy and see us they left the poor junior waiterin to explain that the speck had not come with the delivery to the last day (one ever heard that he jumps out of the super market to buy some? and there was no excuse for the missing tomats, very badly sorry for us, so on. desserts the brownie was very nice, but the eton mess was a catastrophe. it came in a small delicate glass. in the ground a buckling of whipped cream with some slabs of stone hard meringue and some earthy with stems overfilled with some earthberry syrup. after bending the spoon. we decided to solve it by hand. I was afraid that I would break a tooth on the notched position that really needed to be served with a hammer. the only way to eat the earthy was to pick them up from the body, to bite and to eat to which time our hands were covered in sauce. on the plus side, they drew the price of the burger and Eton fair and 25% of the duck, as we had 3 glasses of wine and a koks, the bill was still over £120 without drinking money. to say that by my choice of restaurants, I would be embarrassing a rough understatement."
