"One of our starters, Arancini balls, arrived uncooked and when we politely told the waitress it was returned to the kitchen and after a considerable wait it was returned but still not properly cooked. The other starter, garlic bread, had a cardboard consistency and looked as if it came from a budget supermarket. We ate it because we’d been there ages and were hungry. We then waited nearly an hour for the main courses which were very disappointing. The fish pie was molten hot but mushy and obviously blasted in a microwave. The hake special was anything but and tasteless. We told the waitress in quite a discreet way so as not to cause a fuss and she called the manageress who was not particularly bothered. Her excuse for the uncooked starter was that ‘everyone makes mistakes’ although in our view not cooking something is quite a big mistake by the chef. Because we didn’t send the main courses back straight away she didn’t apologise or offer a discount. The ambience was poor freezing cold inside. The atmosphere wasn’t enhanced by the large group of teenagers, obviously well known to the staff, hanging around on the outside decking and making the most of the electric heaters, which were badly needed inside. We definitely won’t go back."

Lovely venue with views over the beach. Food and drink great but a little expensive

A well stocked bar with informed bartenders but what floored us most was their comforting and friendly service.

Great position in Lyme Regis. Great for Sunday lunch with a dog. Food was very good, chairs could do with a cushion on the bottom though.

A very enjoyable dinner celebrating my wife’s birthday with friends. Very good service and value. Being local we eat here quite regularly and now feel that it’s time for a bit of a makeover in the restaurant area. View menu

On this occasion NOT good.table was booked for 19.30.we got there just before and we're shown promptly to our table only to be left for 20 mins without anyone asking if we even wanted to order drinks. It was not that busy...we walked out. On the way out my wife spotted 4 staff by the kitchen chatting. We only booked because we had a great experience there on new year. Wasted taxi from Seaton....

we had a super lunch in the harbour inn yesterday compliments to the cooks/kitchen workers during the presentation of a delicious roast and fish cake really delicious. the waiting staff also deserves a mention as attentive and friendly and checked to see that everything was good with our meals etc. the manager was also super helpful and very courteous when we said that we had been kept in traffic and might be a little late, but as it turned out, we were pretty punctual and our vision table ready and waited, thank you: . Coming together, large management and team fabulous event location can wait to stay back and stay for dessert next time!
