"Thanks Trip Advisor, found this gem in n your app. Restaurant was quiet but it was a Monday afternoon so not surprised. Met by lovely front of house team and ordered a lovely bottle of wine….off to a great start. To say the food in this restaurant is way beyond what we expected is an understatement. Ordered the Lobster Gyoza as a little bite formal everyone whilst we figured out what we wanted. Wow…they were incredible, served beautifully with a chilli oil and burnt onion emulsion. You could taste every individual ingredient and accompaniment. 10 out of 10. To follow this was a challenge but they met it. All the food was exceptional and beyond what we had expected. Thanks to the team for a memorable meal."

Visited just before Christmas. Flawless experience. Staff were wonderful and the food was fantastic. Couldn’t have enjoyed it more.

Super restaurant. Went for lunch with a friend and we both loved it. Food was excellent and the staff were very attentive. Can't wait to go back again.

This restaurant was great. We went on a Saturday night, the place was full to the brim so the atmosphere was very good. There were only 3 floor staff on however that didn't effect their level of service. Efficient and very friendly service. The food was great with the Lobster Gyoza being a highlight! I'd highly recommend this restaurant.

Visited here with a large group of 14 between Christmas and New Year. Can’t really fault it service was friendly, nice surroundings and food was very good. We had a set menu and there were no complaints and plates were cleared. Cocktails had a festive twist and the consensus was they were better in their original format. Other than that would recommend.

Brendan is the best customer facing representative any business could ask for. Unbelievable service, fantastic knowledge of the excellent food and drink being sold, and he was able to make high quality recommendations that were spot-on. Easily the best service I've ever received in Belfast. I used to go to The Great Room or Bert's Jazz Bar for the best service, but those have both been very disappointing lately. I will be going to the Bank Square Brasserie for as long as Brendan is there.

Went here on our first night in Belfast. We were celebrating my partners birthday and we are so happy we chose to dine at bank square brassiere. It is some of the best tasting food we have ever eaten. I had pigeon, venison and chocolate brownie. Every mouthful of food was delicious. The staff are exceptional very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I can’t say enough positive things about this place. Well worth a visit. Somewhere we intended to visit next time we are in Belfast. Thank you for a fantastic evening.

So I’m an Expat who generally visits Ginger as my resturant of choice over the last 15 years on trips to Belfast. Bit of a last minute booking and I was worried about the vast amount of slots available. The resturant was quiet-ish, but got busier as we were leaving at 7pm on a Friday night. However I must say the food was amazing. Soup was really good. Be venison was not to dissimilar from meals I have had in high end London and Parisian restaurants. Really nice attentive staff and a really great find, located in an area that has some cracking pubs nearby.

The food, service and wine in Bank Sq were excellent. The only reason I haven’t given a five star rating is the menu online was quite different to the one in the restaurant on the night, it was fine for me but the new menu restricted my friends quite a bit as it was quite seafood heavy. Also, as I said to the staff, the overhead lighting is too bright, dimmer lighting would create an atmosphere more appropriate for the level of food and drink being served. A make over of the interior would be a good investment but in terms of the food and service this is a five star place

"enjoyed our evening in james st it was the best culinary experience of our trip! we had been happy to see this evening as we had a few hit-N-seals in the course of our trip to belfast. we were not disappointed and had the fabulous evening. we were quickly welcomed and sitting. the place is beautiful and spacious. revitalized and environment. the bar is great and would like to come back, only for drinks at the bar sometime. we ordered cocktails immediately. an Irish gin negroni and a traditional old fashion. my neger was absolutely excellent. I think the old fashion could have been done with real sugar cubes and not sugar syrup, but it wasn't too bad. we were quick to choose our wein. we chose a beautiful juicy red, the cline, the old vine zinfandel, 2019. to begin we had the ham hock terrine with piccalilli champ bread and some scallops with boar bell. the hanging-hock court was the best ham-hock I had. the homemade piccalilli was something else. really nice crispy and sharp sharp to help cut through the hammock and the champbrot was delicious crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. the scallops and black bells were disappointing, as they lacked no salt or genuine aroma or texture between them. we still ate it and shared the rest of my hammock. we both decided to go for the co. tyrone 270g fillet steak with sides of champ and truffle parmesan chips. red wine and pfeffer sauce. they were fantastic steaks. Actually, I didn't think I would finish mine, but I did. I have met the right choice with the jus and the truffle chips. they went so well together, the dryness of the parmesan and sweet, slightly greasy of the jus. the steaks were perfectly cooked. a medium and my medium rare. fantastic aroma on the grilled outside of the steak and beautiful texture when they pierce. we both agreed that the champ was the best champ we ever cost. it was hot, soft, so well aromatized with hot butter on the top of the copper serving pot melt. it was really the most incredible champ. I was too full of dessert. but my sample ordered the sticky toffee pudding sundae. the team was friendly enough to make me an espresso martini that was both decaf and not a sugar syrup. it was brilliant. we both managed to work our way, although a surprisingly light sticky toast desserts on Sunday. the team was fantastic. very friendly and chatting to us. the bar team did not stop, I had the pleasure of standing and watching them make a great selection of drinks and cocktails. the waiting staff were also very friendly when they check in with us at comfortable places to ensure that we were in order. we felt very well looked around. the service was very good, we didn't feel any hurry, it felt like such a free time in this restaurant. when we come back to belfast, we will be back in absolute terms and we will definitely recommend others. Thank you."
