"Situated on the main Boulevard du Montparnesse, Himalaya provides the perfect authentic Indian food. The hotel has excellent ambience and having a meal looking upon the boulevard in the evening is a nice way to spend time. The place has food served both a la carte as well as in a buffet. Since we were a group of three, we tried both the buffet and the a la carte meal. The vegetables available (both vegetarian/ non-vegetarian) were excellent. We tried the butter chicken and the mattar paneer (peas with cottage cheese). Both the vegetables were excellently prepared, with authentic taste. They were not too spicy, and also freshly prepared (not refrigerated). The buffet was also freshly prepared, with nice starters: samosas (vegetable fritters deep fried), paneer (cottage cheese) chilly, chicken chilly. For the main course, you have roti (flat Indian breads) or nan, with vegetables (chicken based), lamb based and also fish delicacies. You also have rice and curry. We tried the Indian deserts (gulab jamun-a flour based sweet ball sweet). The taste was excellent.Food and restaurant was hygienic and they prepare food as per your requirements w.r.t. spices. The staff is very very helpful.Overall pricing of the place is good. Better than some of the so-called Indian restaurants nearby. Overall the best Indian food I have found in Paris.Your visit will be worth the food."

Great service with attentive waiters however the food was awful! The curries where lacking any spice and the tikka masala was hotter than the vindaloo however tasted solely of onion. On top of this portions where quite small for the price as a €11 curry had only 4 small pieces of chicken. Left us all dissatisfied and wouldn't eat there again

This restaurant is simply awesome and serves great food. The staff are very courteous especially the one from Bangladesh who is there in Paris for last forty years..sorry for not getting his name. His service and behavior was commendable and the food was sumptuous. The exceptional matar paneer and butter chicken was on the top of my list. Would recommend everyone to at least visit this restaurant and meet that gentleman. The chef makes the food as per your preference and regional choice of India. Must visit for all Indian tourist...Thank you for making rather transforming my meal into an experience. If I think of Paris you will definitely be in my thought.
