"This is traditional but innovative cooking at its best. We have been there several times and there is not a single thing we have disliked; whats more, you keep looking at dishes that you want to come back and try another time! Location: Puente San Miguel is not beautiful: the restaurant is located in a large traditional stone house on the main road. They usually serve a portion of blue-cheese on the house while you are deciding what to order. Not to be missed: The foie toasts, squid balls , and other little appetizers. First courses: All rice dishes, bean dishes, the vegetables... Second course: Both fish and meat are excellent. Have eaten jargo, baby lamb chops, steak: all excellent. Desserts: All home-made and very good. Wine: Very reasonably priced. House wine- Rioja, also Crianza and Reserva. The wine choice is limited but what is there is excellent. Coffee is really good! I normally do not like the way they do coffee in Cantabria. If you have all the courses, with crainza wine, it will work out to between 32-36 per person, really excellent excellent value for the quality of the food and the cooking. Space is limited and the restaurant gets a lot of repeat customers: you will see the cooks chatting with a lot of people. It is very casual, in the best Spanish style of eating out naturally."

Comida excelente. Lo malo es que cierran muy pronto para las cenas. Mejor reservar.

Nos guiamos por las reseñas y efectivamente quedamos encantados. Muy recomendable. Además de disfrutar de una cocina de gran calidad, el trato fue impecable.

Espectacular. Fuimos a cenar y quedamos gratamente sorprendidos. Atención excelente, y cocina aún mejor. Todo estaba indecible, pero destacó especialmente la albóndiga de calamar y la merluza en salsa de setas. Totalmente recomendable.

Food without artifice, careful service, traditional dishes and with respect for the product beyond any doubt. Traditional restaurant with a conservative menu, Manuel de tela and prices around 35 euros without wine but with dessert. Does not disappoint, highly recommended

I have never tasted fish this good before. The fish is very very fresh and I 'm told it is caught in smaller boats at the start of the fishing season. I had what 's called "the belly of the tuna*. So so awesome. It looks like a small family run business and luckily for me is open quite late as I was working late and needed somewhere good to eat late at night. And the cheesecake was so amazing it must have come from a different galaxy. So awesome. Can 't wait to come back.

"As my tittle states the ratio quality price it’s quite good. There’s always room for improvement however there are many factors that made this place a good choice for a couple’s night out. We arrived with no reservation on a Saturday night and were told by the Maître; which was very kind and accommodating once she knew our situation, to wait few minutes which we took advantage of to order some drinks at the bar area. We were led to our table in one of the dining rooms; there are two and the one we were located at had sheer curtains to separate some of the tables which were to some extent pretty close to each other and that’s the reason I don’t give them the fifth star because I consider highly important the sense of personal space, especially when you want to have private conversations with those in the dining table with you while having your meal, however it’s just my appreciation. We were presented with two different menus at different prices and I must tell you that I don’t get the few fellas that have something wrong to say about the food because to begin with the prices we are talking about; one menu 16€ and the other 26€ included a vast variety of dishes to choose from that included a glass of wine and water, you won’t find them beyond Spanish borders. Same menu in France, for example, will cost around the double or triple per person. The carpaccio was really good and nicely presented as the rest of the dishes. As main dish we both ordered fish ones. Great flavor too and to end the chocolate dessert, yummy yummy! Overall food was good. I’d recommend to present the olive oil in a glass bottle since plastic changes the original flavor plus in a nice restaurant everything must go in accordance with the image. If food was great the service it’s even greater. Props to the waitresses and the maître. Highly recommended if you are stopping by Torrelavega. We’ll most likely return. Below you can check our desserts out... as previously said... yummy!"
