"We ate at Bistro du Vin in Tunbridge Wells on a Saturday night. The restaurant is lovely – a very nice traditional ambience and the service is very attentive. A three course meal with a bottle of wine came to £50 a head. However if you go on any night of the week apart from Saturday there’s a really good offer £35 for two courses for two people including a bottle of wine. I’d recommend a visit to the old traditional hotel bar first – think open fire and wood panelling. A very romantic evening."

Excellent lunch at Hotel du Vin, Tunbridge Wells. A variety of 3 attractive courses, a bottle of decent house wine, tea and coffee in attractive surroundings. Good value at less than £20/head.

Hotel du Vin, Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Sunday lunch excellent value, with 2 bottles of wine and a bottle of champagne came to around £50 per head. Excellent service by all staff, food hot and very fresh. Would certainly use again.

My group of friends has visited this restaurant several times and we always have a wonderful time. The atmosphere, food, and most importantly, the service, were all excellent, even though they were very busy. We will definitely return. View menu

Hotel du Vin in Tunbridge Wells offers delicious food paired with excellent service. While the prices may be a bit steep, such as the £12.50 glass of white wine in the bar, the overall dining experience is worth it. Expect to spend around £65 per person for a three-course lunch with wine.

Right from first contacting the Events team they were so helpful and really understood what we wanted our meal and evening to be like. We were very impressed with the style of the hotel which is just so us. During the evening the staff were so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We were so impressed that we have booked with them for next Christmas as well! Thank you so much Sophia and Karolina and all the team

Hotel du Vin is a beautiful establishment both inside and out. We had a pleasant drink in the lounge before dinner, despite the slow service. All four of us were satisfied with our meals and the service in the restaurant. However, my partner and I had to return our fillet steaks as they were cooked to medium instead of medium rare. The restaurant graciously removed the cost of the steaks from our bill, which left us very pleased with the overall experience. View menu

Great lunch Thursday at Hotel du Vin. This is a really lovely sophisticated venue with a great atmosphere. It always seems to be really busy at lunch time, but in a nice way. Tables a nicely spaced out, service is excellent very nice maitre'd and sommelier. Customers are a mixture of business people and shoppers and everybody looked really smart. Food great they charge for bread, but it's fantastic, too good it's very hard to leave any. Set menu fantastic value lots of choice recommend

Dinner Thursday evening at Hotel du Vin, Tunbridge Wells. Candlelight and low lighting make the restaurant bar very attractive and atmospheric. One set menu and one a la carte everything great. You will get service with a smile here, which for us after a recent holiday in the South of France is really appreciated! Don't expect haute cuisine, what you will get is very nice food great wine all at a very reasonable price. Had a drink in the bar after dinner, made for a very relaxing evening

"Firstly I would like to say that this restaurant has just been refurbished, and it didn’t feel like an Italian restaurant, more like a cafe at the beach somewhere! It felt very sparse and most Italian restaurants I e been to have proper tablecloths on the table but these were plastic and I noticed one table it was tapped up underneath, in my opinion it needs to be made more warmly and have more of a family feel. The food was really nice, although I would advise anyone to make sure they double check their order as I chose chicken in a sauce really nice which came with vegetables but I also asked for a separate portion of potatoes, when it arrived I just had chicken with a few cut up potatoes and a very very small garnish of salad ! I mentioned this to the waitress who had taken our order and she said I know but the chef had given you extra salad !! Sorry but salad is not vegetables , it clearly said on the menu it came with vegetables. Having said about the above issue, the meals we all had were nice and the staff gave us a very warm welcome and because of the blip they said we could have a free pudding…..not sure if we all did or it was just mine but I never see the bill as we were treated to this. To finish the evening off we were given a lovely limoncello shot. We would definitely go back. Thankyou for a lovely evening in your restaurant"
