"We had a wonderful dinner on the lovely patio at Hôtel Le Cro-Magnon. stars: the food was superb. The ingredients were fresh and seasonal and every dish was well-prepared and beautifully presented. There was a delicious vegetarian option and our said her chicken...was the best chicken ever (it was a nicely cooked dish nothing like the artificial packaged chicken on many children's menus). The owners, Jan and Ruud, are passionate about food and wine; Ruud assisted us with selecting the wine (Chateau de Tiregand Bergerac Pécharmant is now our favorite from this region). Definitely don't miss the luscious desserts and you must try Jan's homemade limoncello."

I think the pate de foi is the best here after he tried five or six other places in the village. the quality of eating is like the hotel; excellent.

Set menu with 3 or 4 different dishes each. Fusion kitchen: French cuisine with Belgian twist. Excellent wines accompanying local specialties such as duck...

This is a very interesting hotel in a fascinating town. It is built into a limestone cliff, and the cliff intrudes into the hallways of the third floor. It has intriguing antiques and a display of stone age tools. The rooms are small - typical of France - but comfortable.

Excellent, non-pretentious fixed price dining with ample choices for starters, entrees and deserts alike. Chef Laurent provides beautiful presentations, ample portions, fresh local products at very reasonable prices. Last night's entrees included duck (local staple), veal, lamb

We enjoyed a very pleasant evening having supper on the terrace. The hotel and restaurant are under new ownership .. a lovely couple from Belgium. We started with a refreshing negroni; goats cheese salad to start, followed by a beef tournedos served with potatoes ...desert was vanilla ice cream chocolate sauce. Looking forward to our return visit.

For dinner we went to the Hotel Cro Mignon. It was quite busy and we enjoyed a good meal from the menu. I had rabbit for starter which was very tasty indeed. My wife had duck terrine (they eat so much duck here I'm surprised they don't go quack.)! Then we both had roast duck then orbit/walnut cake. The sort of place you cannot think anything special to write about - but nothing bad either.

Ruud and Jan are the welcoming hosts of this charming hotel. We enjoyed our stay as a family as an overnight driving through France, but we could have perfectly stayed longer. There’s so much to do and see in that area, we surely will come...back! Big thumbs up for Jan for the dinner and breakfast! We enjoyed the local products and menu! Do not doubt visiting them, you will not regret it!
