"Due to the COVID-19 measures, we were forced to dine 3 evenings in the hotel 's own restaurant. (see separate review Hotel Römerhof Happily, it was absolutely not a ‘must’: We have wonderfully eaten and were wonderfully served for 3 evenings long. A special thanks to the waiter couple and the slightly older assistant, who have mastered the evening rush multilingual with great friendliness and professionalism, without being intrusive – Chapeau – Well done! About the food: All pasta that we have consumed, were al Dente, the sauces well balanced and as they should taste. What we have eaten in meat chicken there is nothing to complain about and also the pizza tasted well. As my wife drinks no wine, the 0.35 l bottles seemed overpriced to me. There is a Dole from Valais in the open bar, which also does its job quite well. The prices in general are about what we also pay in a restaurant in the city of Bern. The atmosphere: The restaurant has a Wallis chalet style. Despite the open space, the tables are arranged so that everyone has their privacy. We felt very comfortable in a cozy, “alpen-stylish” ambiente."

I visit the restaurant this week, after seen good reviews, we order a cheese founde, the taste was like vinegar and we decided to stop eating and continue with something else we had order. For our surprise, next day we wake up with vomits and diarrhoea.. Really pricey place for the after experience. Definitely I will never be back or recommend the place. Good service but really bad food.
