"My son and I were in the area staying at the local travelodge for 2 nights so got a delivery on our second night. So glad we did! We picked up a menu earlier in the day and asked Imran while there if we could have a delivery for about 9pm so he took our order there and then as we knew what we wanted. (This was about 5pm after we watched Wincaton FC nearby) He said will have it with us for 9pm. Bang in 9pm it arrived! Great service! We had a couple of their specials (nehari chicken and Bengal flame lamb) A couple of Palau rice , saag aloo, okra and a peshwari naan. The curries where amazing!! Lamb was lovely and tender. All turned up lovely and hot Great sized portions. Decent prices! Definitely recommend and Definitely have again if in the area!!!"

"We were in Wincanton visiting with friends and having been to a local pub were disappointed that they did not serve food, walking back to our friend's house we took a risk on the Wincanton Kebab and pizza house. What an unexpected gem! We watched the pizzas being freshly prepared, kebabs being expertly cooked and shish kebabs being carved, we stuck to pizza but have to say that everything else looked good. The pizzas were excellent, full of flavour, we would use them again."

"All good, food nice, staff very helpful and friendly. Just one criticism, the Order to Table online function in the website, I wanted to use it but the items on the printed menu and the items on the app don’t correspond. I wanted to order an item in the table menu but it wasn’t in the app so I had to go to the bar to order. Exactly the same when I wanted a drink, it wasn’t in the app. I actually identified about 5 items I wanted but could only get them by going to the bar. Not a big hardship but if you’re going to have an Order online function please make sure it corresponds with the printed menu otherwise it’s pointless."

"I do not recommend ordering the fresh prawns at this restaurant as they were not fresh at all. They were served cold and seemed to have been recently defrosted, with a strong fishy odor and some unpleasant residue inside. They were served without any lemon or seasoning, only the unpleasant smell. After eating, I had to stop at the store for Imodium as I felt I might become ill. The burger main dish was also disappointing, as it was tasteless, dry, and lacking seasoning. For £14.50, it was not a good value for money, as it only came with a burger and chips, with no slaw or relish. I will not be returning to this restaurant."

"This pub is 'a work in progress ' the owners told us and it was evident the owners have worked hard both physically and imaginatively during the on-going Covid period to create a pub full of atmosphere. The outside belied the interior to reveal an excellently sized bar area, a restaurant, an unexpected little snug and tasteful decor. There was an excellent menu with well thought-out fresh ingredients resulting in us having tasty and beautifully presented meals. Thank you too to the chef who even took time to let me have my first taste of vegetarian ice cream! Thank you too to the outstanding young friendly and helpful waitress who we found out was balancing two part-time jobs and driving miles daily to study for a qualification. What an example to her contemporaries. We have overnight stays in our motorhome using BritStop so the parking areas at inns and other places are an important factor. At the White Horse we were given a large self contained area to ourselves which was well back from the main road so no traffic noise. The hospitality sector is struggling through staff shortages and loss of money yet the owners Justine and Andy Kemp know how to make people welcome and nothing was too much trouble to them."
