"We go here occasionally because of the awesome location and the great lake views. If the weather is not in your favour, there is ample seating inside. However, Il Cavallo (as the implies) is right next to the indoor riding hall and that is not to everybody's liking. Il Cavallo offers different kinds of seasonal specials. We opted for an antipasti platter and a Knödel dish, both of which were nicely presented and very tasty. However, this was the night of football match and a "conference" room had been set up for a fan viewing. Service was OK, considering how many people came to watch. But charging EUR 6.20 for a bottle of water???"

This Italian restaurant is on Gut Ising with a view of the mountains and the Chiemsee. It has outdoor and indoor seating. Indoors one side to the riding hall and the other to the mountains and the lake. They do stop serving warm food on the week ends:. So you need to get there early. Very friendly staff and yummy food

Reservation was probably forgotten as there was no free table and the waitress with her tablet was shocked to find that we had actually reserved. Generally staff very overwhelmed, brings a hectic pace in the evening, you can hear dishes breaking. The only thing that saved the evening was the good food and the view. The mask requirement when the table was abandoned was also not checked so that numerous guests marched through the full beer garden without masks. That was our last visit there for a long time
