"On our 2nd night in Munich (Saturday) we were looking for an Italian having sampled a traditional Bravarian Restaurant on our first night.While browsing the shops in the main street, closeby, I looked at tripadvisor for a nearby Italian.Il Sogno was just around the corner located 50m off Nauhauser Str, so we went to look at 10.00 in the morning.Our initial impression of the restaurant, was clean, table cloths, menu looked varied and reasonable. So we booked a table for 4 (2 Scottish couples) for 20.00 that evening. On arrival, we noted the place was full, we were warmly welcomed with a glass of sparkling prosecco at the bar, then shown to our table.The menu was in German only, however the Manager explained the courses in English, and we ordered drinks.The starter was a mixed grilled antipasta and focaccia. Tasted wonderful.For the main course we all ordered steaks, to be cooked to varying tastes, Med Rare to Well Done. All arrived at the same time, perfect and so succulent.We enjoyed the ambiance and the company so much that we spent the whole evening here chatting, eating and drinking. So did not notice the time pass by.The manager handled expertly all the tables by himself. My sincere thanks for your hard work and dedicated service. We did intend to return the next night (Sunday), unfortunately the restaurant was closed.This was our first visit to Munich, which overall we really enjoyed, this certainly was the best restaurant we visited and on our next visit to Munich, we shall definitely visit Il Sogno."

Dropped in without reservation. Owner fixed us a table outside. We ordered a minestrone soup with white beans (delicious) and I had the grilled veal chops (outstanding). Not to mention the wine.

We arrived late - just after 21.30 - when the kitchen was closed. The staff arranged so that we got served even if we were late. We (2 children + 2 adults) had a fantastic meal with the best Italian food we ever had outside Italy! Most recommended!

Tolles Ambiente, ausgezeichnete Küche, wirklich sehr freundliches Personal... mehr muss man drüber nicht verlieren. Beim nächsten Besuch in München definitiv wieder einen Abstecher wert.Bestelltipp für Liebhaber von Meeresfrüchten:Tagliatelle il Sogno und der Salat mit MeeresfrüchtenEinfach nur TOP!

Nous avons été déçues de ce "bar à cocktail". Mojito très acide (manquait le sucre de canne, l'alcool...) et le Mai Tai était imbuvable (rempli que d'alcool...). Leur prix était également plus élevé que la majorité des restaurants à Munich.De plus, le service était lent...et les pizzas pas terrible...(pâte bonne,mais mozzarella gommeuse..)Bref, faites un peu moins de cocktails, mais MIEUX!

We wanted to see Munich but came in a little late and the children were starving.So we entered a busy il Sogno resto. Carpaccio, Pasta Carbonara, pizza's. Really excellent quality, and great service. Due to everything being busy we had to wait 20 minutes for our food. Which wasn't disturbing us at all. Nevertheless the management brought our children free desert. (Chocomousse and Tiramisu) Excellent place and not expensive. View menu

Natürlich gibt es viele italienische Restaurants in München, in der ganzen Bandbreite der Küche. Im il Sogno ist man sofort vom Charme umgeben und kann in aller Ruhe im Herzen Münchens italienisch genießen. keine Massenabfertigung, sondern feine italienische Küche erwartet den Gast.Übrigens gab es auch für den Dackel ungefragt Wasser, bei den Temperaturen ein Genuß für herr und Hund. Das italienische Gefühl Münchens wird so kulinarisch betont. Ich komem gerne wieder.

We shared a minestrone soup, a grilled vegetable salad and a chicken pizza along with a couple of glasses of wine. Although not everyone speaks fluent English, the servers are friendly and efficient. The food is delicious and fresh. This restaurant is opened late and we enjoyed a late dinner, unlike some of the other restaurants in the area which closed early. Sadly, diners who smoke sit outside and the smoke drifts into the restaurant which was an issue as I was seated nearby.
