India Haus I - Menu

The usual variety of what Europeans think is Indian food. No tandoori choice. Come with no expectations, but hunger. Interior a bit better than other eating places of that kind.

Food was very ordinary. Service was a bit slow, they forgot a few items. Food was sweet and there was no spice in the food. It was cooked very bland. Food was a bit greasy. Wouldn't recommend.

We only had a couple of drinks outside: but were made welcome, and enjoyed sitting in the sun in a quiet street. There was a good range of lunchtime special prices, and a good number of locals eating there.

I'm a massive fan of Indian and spicy food. For lovers of Indian food the "India Haus" is an absolute must! I recommend the chilli chicken (hot) with rice and a garlic nan bread. All-round perfect Indian meal.

Typical indian restaurant in an old german country houses. Now with a better and more friendly service team. Our food lamb with rice and curry was perfect and hot served. Mango Lassy this time not so sweet, so taste perfectly.

Wannsee is small, so it was great to find an Indian Restaurant there to have lunch. We had the cheese filled Naan which is great when you just want a snack. We sat outside in the sun with the snack and beers and watched the world go by. Staff were very friendly and helpful, prices good.

I've visited this restaurant twice now and have not been disappointed. The soups are really excellent and suffice as an entire meal for a small appetite or for a child. The dishes we tried were very nice as well. The staff is very friendly, but though children are welcome, the food takes some time arriving (suitable for adults wanting a nice time with space for conversation), however it does become stressful for a two-year old who just wants to eat and continue sightseeing. After a week and a half in Potsdam we went looking for something 'different' from the standard (and delicious) local fare. We also were walking up and down the side streets and spied this restaurant with its outdoor seating. The food was not overly spicy but you can request it and they will do their best. The puri were light and fluffy and the Chicken Biryani had huge pieces of white meat chicken with a lovely mix of nuts and spices. My husband was not that happy with his dal but I think if he had ordered a different one he might have felt happier. Nice selection of beers and their fountain Cokes were the best I had in Potsdam. My wife and I wanted to have Indian Food for our 3rd wedding anniversary, so we picked this place just based on friends opinions. We arrived at the place past 7 pm, and the place was half full. We ordered a Chicken Curry and a Scampi Masala, and some Samosas as a starter. To go with this, we also ordered white wine. The first problem was the waiting time, as Samosas came after 40 mins of waiting, and main dishes came after almost an hour after we had ordered them. We love curry and we have a good understanding of what a good curry needs to have in order to be a great curry. Unfortunately, the waiting was not worth it.
