"5 of us went to the Indian salon to eat and drink. The selection of food was good, although an expensive touch, does not charge. Only 1 tray of sauces for 10 poppadoms was a bit thin. . All the main dishes served were well, tasty too.The orders of friends were small and the nan breads were small and prepared. The service was very hasty, all the main meals came out when we were still eating poppadoms, the table was full of food and there was no place to put the dishes. As soon as the main meal ended, and we were still drinking what was left of our drinks, we were informed that it would be good if we could leave in 1 minute as they had reservations. All in the visit was 40 minutes. The food was quite good, though a bit sosa, the prices on the highest side for a place that needed a hand of paint and a arrangement. The incoming Poppadom, the main food with garrison and a single beer averaged about 30 per head."

Warm welcome by the restaurant management, the food is delicious and irresistible. In my personal opinion, I recommend trying the Punjabi chicken tikka with extra spice. Enjoy!

Underground Indian restaurant on Rose street in city centre Edinburgh. Busy and popular with good food and efficient waiting staff. Very tasty vegetarian curry options as well.

I enjoyed a meal here , chicken madras , rice , naan bread, popadoms washed down with a cold beer, service good and large portion size. I would certainly return and would recommend.

Spent Monday evening here after a spontaneous booking for dinner. Food was awesome! Service warm and friendly. 4 friends. 4 different mains. All superb. Highly recommend the chicken tikka Vindaloo.

The food at this restaurant is amazing, and it's a great value for the money. The staff are lovely and provide excellent service. They have fantastic veggie curry options - I tried the Dal Makhani and it was absolutely delicious.

We ate here at our quick stop in town. The lamb dishes we both had were delicious. Very tender and full of flavor. We were the only ones in the restaurant (it was late), so the service was good and the waiter was very cozy and talkative. Good precautions of covid, although I am not sure about the bowl of mints serve yourself. We went well alone.

from the street 2100 and a warm welcome by the staff, we were shown directly on a table and given menus. the service was great and eating was nice from beginning to end. in any case a good choice in edinburgh and we will go again when we are back in town. these youths have the place immaculate and nothing is a problem for them. for a great experience.

The food was really good, but the restaurant did not require customers to download the track and trace app, did not provide hand sanitizer, and the tables were too close together (only 6 inches apart). It would have been better if they had fewer tables and screens between them to prevent the spread of COVID-19. If you get sick, you probably got it here.

"new kapitel has caught my attention after I was on top ten on trip advisor only months after the opening in the oktober last year. that and the fact that it is open for my early january birthday, made it the perfect place to celebrate to become a little older. I was with the man and his family. the man is quite used to my taste and good to the kind of kitchen that would appeal to me for a special occasion; his family not so much and I was filled with shame as his mother scornful went through the menu trying to find something she would enjoy. I've eaten with the family of the man, and I know they enjoy eating, so I think it's a failure of the menu that it is not accessible. the benming always blooming and garnish can appeal to some, but for others it is overcomplicated and it is necessary to find a balance between the two. we start with the starters and I go for venison sour wort pithvier. the venison was underheated and incredibly dry, to the happiness the sourded a little moisturizing and so saved the whole dish, but the aromen were quite not clear, except the garnitur of plastered mushrooms I thoroughly enjoyed. for the largest part we chose a fish dish for our main,- sea trout, smoked muddles, petersilien and coast herbs. where the starter fell, the main recording is getting back. the dish is rich and creamy, and each element adds the complexity of the taste as a whole, without disturbing. the concept is now an old one, and it would be deceptive if it had not worked, as it would essentially pay with this place. I enjoyed my meal in new chapter, although I do not agree with it is stellar status under the hierarchy of edinburgh eateries. it is top ten position is just a flash in the pan of hot popularity, and in time it will be plated in the upper half of the middle stage where it belongs. and that is where it belongs, the dishes can be plated with a michelin star in understood, and the venue and the supporting media has the clean lines and empty slate look of fine but eat the team has a long gone to go if that is their real aim. at the end, although it was a beautiful meal, and cheap (at the moment I would not be surprised to see their prices slowly rise) and the man’s mother found something they enjoyed and that is the most important."
