"The food was absolutely delicious. The service was good and the prices are a little steep but well worth it. We both ordered the pork ramen and found the portions were generous and ordered the chicken gyoza and takoyaki both fresh and piping hot. We also ordered some sparking sake which was delicious. The staff were eager to help. I do recommended booking ahead of time as we did and our table was nicer than those who just walked in. A lovely hidden treat though!"

Excellent and authentic Japanese food with some creative enhancements. We had sushi, edomame, and also unagi in a stone bowl (unagi donburi). Everything was delicius!

Fantastic sushi, so fresh and tasty. It was the beginning of the fringe festival, and we didn't book but was lucky to get a table. Service was superb and love the deco.

Food is high quality and tastes amazing, the staff are very friendly, especially the blonde lady. The decor is also somehow traditional, somehow modern and very cute. Even the plates are a thing of beauty. Such a good addition to the Newington area.

Delicious food in wonderful surroundings. We find it because our daughter's colleague, a serious foodie, had recommended it, and he was not wrong. Smooth, fast, attentive service and fabulous food. Beautiful place! The food is great too! We went for a dinner with friends and they took us to another dining area downstairs which is very cute! Like an onsen spa feeling. The ramen that I ordered was not too spicy and tastes very good! I also recommend the aubergine miso and the veggie tempura. Staff were great too! Fast and excellent service.

Oh my goodness. I have my favourite Japanese spots in Edinburgh but this may now be the top. Wagyu beef tataki? Epic Japanese mayo? Beautiful sashimi? A twist on many beautiful Japanese dishes check! You won’t be disappointed and to top it the restaurant is gorgeous and the location SO central! Great for going pre/post gigs at the Queens hall or theatre trips to the Festival Theatre. We WILL be back and we can’t wait to try other menu items! Thanks for opening!
