"My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this restaurant and instantly became enamored with the food and service. Everything was freshly prepared to order, delicious, and beautifully presented. The gentleman working behind the counter was delightful and took the time to patiently explain everything we inquired about. As an added bonus, there was the most adorable and well-mannered dog in the world, wandering around and offering customers a warm cuddle. We highly recommend this place and would return whenever possible."

Lovely cafe with a great variety of sweet and savoury cakes snacks and lunch all had prepared by the owner. The coffee is amongst the best in Edinburgh. Great owner and you've got to love the Labrador Nunoh!

A lot of heart goes into that place! It won the brownie awards for two consecutive years for a reason. No one can feel lonely, the coffee and the good food chase the blues away. Or maybe it is Nunu?If only I lived in Edinburgh...

We found this little haven on Easter Rd as it started to rain. The Carrot, Lentil and Bacon soup was delicious. Coffee and home made goodies looked good too but we didn’t have time to stay. Loved the resident Labrador called Nuno!

We often go here for a nice cappuccino with some fresh bakes or lunch. Great quality and very affordable. The owners (and the dog) are super nice and friendly. In the back of the cafe there is a cosy living room style space with books and board games. Highly recommend it.

My boyfriend and I had breakfast at this restaurant and we really enjoyed the food. Everything was cooked to order, had a great taste, and the service was fantastic. The staff at the counter was very helpful, giving us tips about the city and patiently answering all our questions. The presence of a dog inside made the atmosphere even more friendly and relaxed. We highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a nice and lovely place to eat in Edinburgh.

This place has everything good yummy food, comfy couches, pleasant service, and good coffee, plus a resident pup who does tricks for the treats left in the jars on the tables! The cafe is open to other dogs as well. My only complaints would be the slight overpricing of the coffee for the size you receive, and that sometimes service can lack a bit of energy, making it slow; I wouldn't recommend coming here right before you catch a bus! I will likely return here for the fresh food and comfy atmosphere.

"new kapitel has caught my attention after I was on top ten on trip advisor only months after the opening in the oktober last year. that and the fact that it is open for my early january birthday, made it the perfect place to celebrate to become a little older. I was with the man and his family. the man is quite used to my taste and good to the kind of kitchen that would appeal to me for a special occasion; his family not so much and I was filled with shame as his mother scornful went through the menu trying to find something she would enjoy. I've eaten with the family of the man, and I know they enjoy eating, so I think it's a failure of the menu that it is not accessible. the benming always blooming and garnish can appeal to some, but for others it is overcomplicated and it is necessary to find a balance between the two. we start with the starters and I go for venison sour wort pithvier. the venison was underheated and incredibly dry, to the happiness the sourded a little moisturizing and so saved the whole dish, but the aromen were quite not clear, except the garnitur of plastered mushrooms I thoroughly enjoyed. for the largest part we chose a fish dish for our main,- sea trout, smoked muddles, petersilien and coast herbs. where the starter fell, the main recording is getting back. the dish is rich and creamy, and each element adds the complexity of the taste as a whole, without disturbing. the concept is now an old one, and it would be deceptive if it had not worked, as it would essentially pay with this place. I enjoyed my meal in new chapter, although I do not agree with it is stellar status under the hierarchy of edinburgh eateries. it is top ten position is just a flash in the pan of hot popularity, and in time it will be plated in the upper half of the middle stage where it belongs. and that is where it belongs, the dishes can be plated with a michelin star in understood, and the venue and the supporting media has the clean lines and empty slate look of fine but eat the team has a long gone to go if that is their real aim. at the end, although it was a beautiful meal, and cheap (at the moment I would not be surprised to see their prices slowly rise) and the man’s mother found something they enjoyed and that is the most important."
