"Got to the farm with friends and our kids for a lovely day out and was very disappointing. There were hardly any animals for the kids to see on comparison to the greenslate farm in billinge we went to a few days ago. Then we...went to the cafe as it was very hot to get some lunch and ice cream for the kids. Got told no ice cream so we said jokingly ok well do you have done sort drinks with ice, that will do us and got told no we don't do ice. Strange. But anyway we sat down for lunch and ordered food and drinks. First bad sign was the dirty cup they tried to give my friend which still had coffee in it from the last person who had drank it, and the fact they assumed I didn't want milk in my tea so I had to share my boyfriend's. Anyway 40 mins later we are still waiting for our food despite asking about it twice. The food was two bowls of chips, a breakfast barm and I got mushroom stroganoff off the specials board, noone of which should take that long. That prompted my friend who had been waiting 40 mins for two bowls of chips for her and her daughter to complain. The lady who was very lovely then apologised and said it was because they are very busy, and gave us a free soft drink each. Had they been the end we would have been satisfied with this remedy as she had gone out her way for us. However when the food did come we were again upset. My boyfriend's barm was slightly burned, the chips were actually fries that tastes of chip fat and worst of all the mushroom stroganoff that i paid £7 for was actually a very very small bowl of mushrooms in a bit of a liquid sauce. And a small bread roll with no butter.i am not exaggerating that was it. Not even a bit of an onion or rice or anything. Me and my fella only had £20 for the whole weekend and it was just wasted and I hadn't seen my friend for a long time so was really embarrassed that everyone was complaining even her five old daughter. I have to say as well the lady I mentioned before was lovely the whole way through and seemed sad we had a bad experience. However the other waitress had a bit of an attitude as well which is terrible. My boyfriend asked this one, excuse me, that's not stroganoff, it's a bowl of mushrooms. She replied with did it not have a sauce I should go into the business of seeking mushrooms and water for seven quid I would make a killing. Don't remember the last time I've been that upset with somewhere I have been compelled to leave a bad review."

We attended a Farmers Market' event here last weekend, full COVID precautions in place and lots of staff about to direct visitors. The cafe menu looked good but we only had sausage and bacon barms which were excellent and served very quickly. The stalls were...mainly selling gifts and food items which seemed quite expensive to me. There were a number of classic cars on display which was an added attraction. Overall a nice way to spend a sunny Sunday morning, we will be back!

Met with some friends for lunch today and went to the Cherry Orchard Inglenook farm in Rainford. It was a very hot day but unfortunately there were no parasols for the tables. We sat on very basic benches and tables in the heat, having lunch....The food was good. We had Tuna mayonnaise salad and prawn salad and prawn sandwiches. The service was good too. The place was busy but I think they need to make it a bit more comfortable if they are going to serve food outside in the heat.

Called in to inglenook farm for lunch ordered 2 small fish and chips, long wait but reading the farm food is all fresh produce thought it would be worth the wait, when it finally came very small fish all batter and the chips which were just...a load of hard fries £12 40 for the two, very poor quality oh i forgot a small ramekin of tastless peas, i mentioned to the waitress how bad it was she said sorry i will tell the chef.i have had a lot better from morrisons and half the price .

I just had lunch at Cherry Orchard and it was absolutely amazing. We had the Mediterranean Platter and the Fishermans Platter and both we absolutely delicious. The organization was brilliant and we sat outside and felt so safe. It's wonderful to see a restaurant... adapted to this terrible pandemic. The manager was very attentive and friendly as were the waitresses so everyone was happy with their drinks and food. We highly recommend this lovely place and you won't be disappointed with the food. it's delicious We'll be back for sure! Thanks.

We came here yesterday Sunday 7th July for lunch and to see the beautiful lavender feilds. Upon arrival we were informed of a 40min wait on food, but decided to stay as we didn't have any other plans. I am very glad we did. The...food was lovely as was the atmosphere and setting. The breakfast was very yummy and served piping hot. And to be fair we only waited at most half an hour from ordering. We even stayed for scones and cake afterwards which again were delicious. Yes the waitresses looked very busy, and service was a little slow, but this was understandable with how busy the place was. I have worked in the catering industry before and know how harsh people can be in situations like this...

Spent a great Sunday afternoon with my Mum and sister at this lovely place. My sister wanted to treat us as it was Mum's birthday weekend. The venue had a fabulous Artisan market with food and craft treats. We started in the tea room and...enjoyed Earl Grey and Lavender scones with cream and jam. Really light and tasty and substantial so much so we had to take the cakes home for later. Mum was in her wheelchair and the staff were so friendly and welcoming and found us a table even though they were busy. Mum saw an old friend on another table and they had a lovely chat.We then strolled round the market and the museum all the while there was Band music playing and a group of dancers doing the...

The positives are: beautiful location near to Lavender Fields which are stunning and the scented aroma adds to the atmosphere. Food was good, my husband had a Breakfast Bap and I had a croissant, very fresh and tasty, coffee was a little on the strong...side. What spoilt it for us was the odd service, bearing in mind we are still in current Covid times/restrictions, but their administering precautions were rather peculiar. We sat outside as it was a warm morning, drinks came first followed by food, without cutlery, when I asked the young lady for a knife, she looked bewildered and replied “have you not got one” when it was clear to see there were no condiments or crockery on the table. Waitr...
