"New Year's Eve dinner for 5. 1. Had to remind staff twice that we did not receive the 2017 cocktail. 2. In the restaurant for 90 minutes without being served the starter course and this was only obtained after mentioning this to the manager. 3. When starter course received the lasagna was not cooked , it was like strips of rubber. 4. One of our party had macoroni cheese as a main course. The first effort was sent back as it was bone dry and had no truffles. The second effort was slightly less cooked and had truffles but was lacking in cheese. The sauce was virtually milk. 5. The steaks were in fairness good but the menu said that they were served with a peppercorn sauce. Ours came with a bernaise sauce. We asked for peppercorn and what we got had no body whatsoever. We did not have the desert course. As a fair reviewer I must make mention of the manager who saved our night with his attention to our problems, it is a pity he was let down on such an important night by his staff and chefs."

The food was beautiful. Very relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Lovely members of staff providing excellent service. Very pleasant environment ideal for a Sunday date and lovely drinks. Definitely will be returning in the future.

Although the restaurant was quiet, Only three table occupied, it was wonderful. The decor is interesting with hints of the fishing industry. Service was excellent as was the food. I have been a few times will certainly be returning

Reservation made for meal with friends on New Year"s Eve. Sat at table one next to kitchen. Set menu starting with New Year cocktail which was lovely. Service very good and staff very attentive. Food served was very well presented and tasted delicious. A very enjoyable night.

Can't fault the food, although we had not been expecting to be restricted to a Christmas limited choice menu, which was disappointing. The evening didn't start well though, as we felt insulted on arrival by the trying to be a comedian waiter mocking our surname. He continued to try to be funny (not only with us) through the evening and never hit the spot. It was quite embarrassing actually. Being on the quayside, and in winter, it might also be expected that there is some draught excluding system the chilly blasts as people came and went resulted in a number of diners around us keeping their coats on all evening. We've been before, but probably won't bother again.
