"Well, that was a treat! We haven't been here for quite a while and ventured out on a very soggy night to be rewarded with a feast. We were well looked after by Mr Khan and waiter, Dola, who is very good value. We had chana puree and tandoori prawn to start, followed by lamb sag balti, chicken shashlik and a salmon dhansak, made specially for us. Each dish had its own distict flavour with complex spicing with top quality meat/fish. Many similar restaurants use a heavy, oily tomato base with huge, barely cooked chunks of onion, but not Jaipur. The sauces were both thoroughly reduced and rich in flavour. We left nothing! Thank you to all of you, but especially the chef, who is exceptionally talented. We won't wait so long to visit you again."

Everything was fine, OK food, OK service, nothing to complain about, but just your typical Indian restaurant.

Really good food for our first takeaway from here and the service was exceptional. Place was packed on a Saturday. Will return.

We live not 50 feet from here so have tried most dishes and we have never been disappointed, great food, great service and not expensive

Regulars, most Friday nights, we try others, more expensive, further away and always return. Always looked after, food is consistent and they will cook anything for you. The Sally is a one off kids love it , will leave for your imagination! Excellent 40th last night !

Staff lovely always welcomed like family. The food is to die for every time. I recommend trying something different like the 'sally ' which you wouldn 't find elsewhere. It isn 't fine dining and yes the decor would benefit from a bit of an update but we have never had a bad meal here and would absolutely recommend to those looking for a slap up curry!

We had a selection of different curries, all of which were faultless. The tandoori chicken Chana Palak was particularly tasty. They were packed full of authentic flavour and didn’t leave you feeling horrendously full. Definitely one to visit if in Repton. The only slight negative is the restaurant could do with a decor update, but it is not tatty, and the staff are all friendly.

Disappointed from start to finish but didn’t want to make fuss as first date To start building warm heating on but needs few more degrees Service was attentive but to much Presentation of food and sauces poor Main meal plated behind me Side dishes small and over priced Basically meal and drinks all over priced Won’t be going back If this had not been first date would not of paid for certain items Be wary when you visit

I would agree the food is ok/average, however there are not that many decent placed to eat curry in the area so its well frequented. Three of us went for dinner there last week, Daal starter a bit thin although we asked for it to be thick with extra garlic, two of the mains very similar in colour (bright red) and taste. I had the Lamb Sally...interesting, average curry under a large dome of thinly cut potato crispy chips. Wont go for that again. Staff pleasant enough, slightly overpriced for the quality of the food.

I know TripAdvisor and other review sites are not the be all and end all, but every time I eat at Jaipur I wonder why it’s not busier and why there are so few reviews on TA. I have been eating here ever since it began trading as Jaipur and I have to say it has rarely disappointed. Yes, it could do with modernising decor wise, but the food on my most recent visit was excellent. I live in Repton so there is a convenience aspect to my like of it, but I would say it is well worth visiting if you live within 5 miles or so. Head and shoulders above Anoki on the A38.
