"In the evening of August 13th I was looking for a place to have dinner. It was just about two or three hours that I had arrived in Ulm, city in which the number of restaurants isn’t very large actually. After having walked for a long time I bumped into the Restaurant John Benton and steadfastly went into it. After a few minutes I realized that I had made the right choice. Inside the restaurant everything is beautiful. Wood is the prevailing material in its decoration. Some walls and columns are covered with dark brown wood. They match with the furniture: tables and chairs of the same colour, as well as with some low partitions, all of it being of a extreme elegance. A part of the lights consist in very artistic lamps casting a very pleasant yellowish light which no doubt contribute to appease the spirits and thus to make one enjoy the meals. The atmosphere created by the mentioned elements and by the fact that the music is not too loud and thus not disturbing couldn’t be better. The food is also good. I ordered a rumpsteak and it was delicious; very tasty and well cooked. The personnel is helpful though the waitress who served me was a bit adamant, but anyway that was offset by her diligence. The restaurant situation is good. It lies in Marktplatz, by the Old Town Hall and the Ulmer Museum, and at a few minutes walk from the Münster. It’s therefore an excellent place to have a break on the visit to the most remarkable attractions of the city and, as a matter of fact, the most recommendable place to have a meal in the interesting city concerned."

Ulm, a historic city by the Danube, is famed for its stunning Gothic minster, tall tower, and delicious Swabian cuisine, especially Maultaschen and Spätzle.
