"what a great sound. it is from the beaten away near the mayflower marina. we were met by a very gracious host who quickly showed us our sitting. That's the second time I was here in 3 days. Normally I would choose the menu this time from the chalkboard. I started with a very delicious fish soup with a creamy hearty sauce. the following meal was a delightful salate (avocado, mango, snatch and other supplements) filled with local garnels. delicious. was the perfect thing for an authentic Sticky toffee pudding with date and date sauce. I rarely give a 5 rating, but this gastronomic joy was worth it. a modest facility with very tasty furnishings. I'm back."

A fantastic place to visit, good lay out, excellent food, great service and plenty of food. A little pricey but for the quality of food and good service it was worth it. Well done for getting this place spot on in every area..

Really nice to meet up with friends here. Pre-ordered burger which was served quickly and was very good. Excellent chips! Had run out of cheesecake so had a fantastic sticky toffee pudding instead. Will definitely make a return visit. View menu

In campavan so concerned where to park as their carpark pretty full and not alot of space for a 6.3 metre long vehicle, but found a space to park as you carry on road by marina. Food really good and staff very friendly and helpful. Give it a 5/5

fantastic eating and a great atmosphere. they must try their fish and chips to die! sue has really welcomed us and we will go back next time in plymouth. a trip is worth it, even if it is only for a beer and a reading of the times on a sunny afternoon.

the best fish chips I've ever had. I ordered their delicious scotch eggs for a starter that were quite large. my gut was the beer who was also massive. the battery was light and fluffy and golden brown. if they are looking for great fishing and chips and excellent service I would recommend jolly jacks. there is also a parking space in the marina.

Lovely cool glass of pinot and a refreshing beer for the other half. Spot on service with a welcome smile. Clean and a delightful place to be in. Home made fish finger sandwiches on brown for him and salmon sandwich with cream cheese for me. Frsh, tasty and very satisfying. Compliments to the chef. Walk to the little beach after and view the array of boat life.

"Visited on a busy Saturday evening. General impression is the restaurant is clean, well presented and evidently well liked for how many people were in the small dining area. A little noisy, particularly in the confined space beside the kitchen, when seated close beside a louder table. As the evening progressed, we felt quite cold not sure if the heating was on? Service from the staff was outstanding, very friendly, polite, attentive, but food was slow to arrive. We were a little perplexed by having the appetiser on the table before our starter/main order had been taken, so having to work around still having the menus. The smoked butter was very strong my partner liked it, it was too much for me. Both fish starters were good, with the mackerel our favourite. The main courses were OK. The lamb was fine, but served with lamb fat root veg meant the whole plate was very similar flavoured, and the green beans/salsa verde felt like an afterthought. The skate wing was nice, and the crispy capers were a new and pleasant experience. The desserts rescued the food for me the creme brulée was outstanding, and the chocolate special was very good, with exception of a slightly chewy meringue. I feel I'm being picky with my criticisms, but fig tree is definitely priced higher than other more standard fare restaurants in Plymouth where we have also had very good food."
