"We were in search of some good homemade authentic French food. My husband and I made reservations here for dinner through our hotel (the lovely Hotel Le Canberra). We arrived at 8:30pm and it wasn’t busy at all. There is only one option for dinner and it was a set menu for about 49 Euro per person. It included: water, welcome glass of champagne, bottle of wine, terrine, salad, salmon carpaccio with a vodka shot, choice of dinner entrée, and dessert. It was a lot of food and drinks! Really good food at that! We couldn’t decide on one kind of water – still or sparkling, so they brought out one of each! We started with some really delicious terrine and a good-sized salad to share. Next was the salmon and a cold shot of vodka to follow. Then you have a couple choices for the main. I went with the traditional beef stew. My husband had the quail. Both so flavorful and exactly what we were searching for! We couldn’t decide on one kind of wine to go with the main course – I wanted rose’ and my husband wanted red. So they brought out one carafe of each! Then for dessert I got the chocolate mousse and my husband got the lemon meringue, accompanied with espresso (not included in the set price). Lovely restaurant with friendly staff and delicious food. Highly recommend!!"

La Brouette continues to be our favorite restaurant in Cannes. We always make it our first stop when we arrive. From start to finish, everything is perfect. The owners are friendly, the food is fabulous and the prices are reasonable. Definitely a meal we look forward to all year long (and we live in a place with some pretty spectacular food).

This is a typical French restaurant with good French homecooking. The menu is a fixed price with four courses and wine included. Starters were homemade pate and charcuterie, with a green salad. Then followed gravadlax salmon with a shot of iced vodka! (Don't drive home). There was a small choice of mains, we had the Rognons de Veau ( Divine) and the Cotes d'Agneau ( perfectly cooked) Then there was a choice of five or so desserts. All excellent value. Overheard the lady on the next table saying "This is my favourite restaurant " - that says it all.
