La Gondola - Menu

My wife and I stopped in for a late lunch. We had a pizza, a salad and some wine. It reall was very good. I thought the pizza was good, and a pretty good value. I was not expecting such a good and relaxing lunch but Pizzeria la Gndola delivered !

Popped in here are looking round the nearby Christmas Market. Wasn't very busy at first so we were a bit unsure but we were shown to a table very quickly. The pizzas was very nice and much better than some of the more expensive Italian restaurants in Vienna.

We were there for lunch on 24. December as this was unfortunately the only restaurant open in the area. Pizza was below average, but worst is that we paid cash and did not receive a printed or hand-written bill. Afterwards we found out that they charged us too much. We will not go there again. Seated us promptly and took the orders. The staff were great and attentive.The starters came out quick and were good. The Bruschetta was lovely with good tasting tomato's. The Italian plate of cold cuts was okay.Two pizzas came quickly were enjoyed by others in the group. The others had pasta and remarked it was okay.The staff here make this place worthwhile with the food being average.

Just a small eatery along a Vienna thoroughfare. We all had the veal schnitzel, good sized schnitzel with an ok portion of fries. Price very reasonable, as you would expect from this sort of establishment. Staff could be a bit more 'happy' looking .. they all seem a little glum. I do have ONE complaint. Our bill came to €36.30 .... I have €40 .... no change was returned .... they took it upon themselves to assume the rest was the tip !!!!!!

I went to this restaurant with 9 friends, hoping to eat some good Italian food. However, the owners were not Italian, but Indians, and the "most Italian" food we eat was the Acqua Panna. We ordered different kinds of meals: pizza, Wiener Schnitzel, Cordon Bleau, and fish. It took almost one hour to get the food (and there were not so many people in the restaurant), and they even misplaced the orders. Eventually, we were able to eat our dinner, but the fish was not cooked well.I don't recommend it. View menu

Well, what you could expect from restaurant at # 3000 in Vienna? Not much but luckily pizza was fine. Because the restaurant that we were going to was closed, we just decided - fingers crossed - to take a simple pizza.in this place The place is run by staff from India (I guess). Music was very kitsch Italian and the place a bit as well. Price for pizza was around 8-9 EUR. From window table you saw busy Viennese going back and forth along busy road.At least in pizza, this deserved to be among the top-500 places in Vienna ;)

I have travelled the world and this place is without doubt the worst Italain food I have even ordered. The fact that it is run by Indian( no offence as we love that cuisine) should have been a warning. The pizza was on a supermarket base with toppings and looked bad and tasted worse. My wife ordered tortellini with salmon and she only ate the salmon. The sad thing was because of who we are we paid for it. Please avoid this place there are many good options across the road or in the streets nearby. Overpriced for very ordinary food!!!!!!!

My friends and I were looking for a quiet place to eat while wandering the streets of Vienna. We stumbled across La Gondola and prices seemed reasonable. The meal was pleansst enough at first, although they struggled to handle us paying with card and cash together. By the time we had got back to the hostel two of us were very ill. I was throwing up throughout the night and my friend projectile vomited before he even made it back to the hostel. My third friend woke up this morning and was also very ill. When one person is ill after a restaurant it's perhaps unlucky, two a little extreme and three unacceptable. We are certain it was the food as all of us felt somewhat ill within an hour of eat...
