"Stayed in the Welcome Hotel where the Bistro Moller is located. The atmosphere inside is not really cosy. The outside seating area is nice with a view on the square with some historic buildings. The menu card is OK with reasonable prices. The drinklist is...fine when you are a fan of beers. The wine list is rather limited in choice. The ordering of drinks and food went smoothly and the food was served in time. Apparently ordering a dessert is uncommon. It took a while to get hold of the waiter and finally could order the Welcome Hausbecher of icecream. All of a sudden the waiter disappeared to show up again half an hour later. In the meantime no sign of any icecream. The waiter was called and he explained in english that the ice was in the other restaurant (which was closed that evening) and that no choclate ice was available in the bistro kitchen. Surprise because the Welcome Hausbecher does not contain chocolate ice... Finally the ice was served nothing worth for waiting that long. The bistro has all elements to make it a success only the service needs to be improved."

My default after a long day. Good food and drinks, they have only messed up my order once in 10 visits. I recommend it for the patio in the summer time, it rivals others in the city.

cheap if they live in the hotel, otherwise no reason to go here. the restaurant/bar is ok, but nothing special. many far better restaurants and bars in darmstadt, so they go somewhere else, unless they are tired and just need a little quick and easy. View menu

Ate here as it was next door to hotel after a very long day. I had the local version of a pizza which was thin crust and yummy while my colleague chose the schnitzel which was just ok. The waiter recommended a white wine which...was adequate. Once the food and the bottles (wine and sparkling water) were placed on the table, the waiters were gone. It took us a while to get someone's attention to clear the table and get the check. Would stop by again only if convenient and need a quick fix.
