"Wir waren mit den E-Bikes auf der Herzroute von Lausanne nach Romont unterwegs und haben die zusätzlichen 20km unter die Räder genommen, um am Lac de la Gruyere im „Le Vignier“ zu übernachten. Obwohl direkt an der Strasse gelegen, ist es im Hotel (vor allem nachts) sehr ruhig und wir haben in den bequemen Betten gut geschlafen. Wir hatten aber auch ein schönes Zimmer (hinten raus) mit Seeblick. Die Zimmer wurden im 2015 geschmackvoll renoviert. Das WLAN funktioniert problemlos. Das (Abend-)Essen ist sehr delikat und auch das an den Tisch servierte Frühstück ist gut. Auf Anfrage hin gab es auch mehr Gemüse auf dem Teller, da wir nach dem Radeln hungrig waren. Dennoch haben wir den Eindruck erhalten, nicht gerade sehr willkommen zu sein. Beim Eintreffen liess man uns etwas länger als wie sonst üblich am Empfang stehen. Statt dann zu fragen, wie die Anreise war, wollte die junge Dame erst einmal den Ausweis sehen. Zwei Tage vor unserer Ankunft fragten wir höflich nach Milchalternativen (vegan) zum Frühstück wie zB Soja- oder Hafermilch. Die Antwort lautete: haben wir nicht (nur laktosefrei). Die veganen Milchalternativen wurden auch nicht bis dann besorgt. Das ist alles okay, wenn es ein günstiges 2- oder 3-Sterne-Hotel wäre. Für ein Romantikhotel mit 4 Sternen mit Zimmerpreis 236 CHF hingegen hätten wir uns etwas mehr „Einsatz“ und Kundenorientierung gewünscht. Daher 3 Punkte und nicht 4 oder 5 für unsere Bewertung."

Wenn Sie eine Diät machen und kein Budget mehr haben wollen, um nach dem Restaurantbesuch unterwegs hungrig ein Sandwich zu besorgen, dann sind Sie dort richtig."

"I am so sad to say that the quality of the service was really poor at this restaurant. I would certainly have given the best overall rating if the service had been good... We weren 't even asked whether we wanted something else to drink than wine, and all the unused utensils and glasses were left on the table for the entire meal, amongst other things... But the restaurant was packed, it was the day before Valentine 's day, so I would say that the service must be better on other days when they have less people for dinner. Apart from the service, the food was EXCELLENT, and the table extremely beautifully arranged with rosepetals and beautiful decorations (see photos . We took steak sur ardoise (see photos which was the menu of the day. There was a salad buffet which was quite tasty as well (considering that generally the cucumbers/tomatos etc. are not really good in Switzerland in winter time . For dessert, I was expecting something bigger since on the menu it was written that we would have a chocolate fondant, but actually it was a tiny little thing (see photos . The dessert was really good nevertheless, and really, after all that we had eaten for the main course, I was also quite happy to have only something small for the dessert... Overall, all the menu was tasty and beautifully arrayed. Hence, in spite of the poor quality of service, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to eat well in a nice Swiss atmosphere. : You should really try the steak sur ardoise (filet de boeuf , it was delicious so tender (the restaurant is known for their meals sur ardoise !"

"Went there to celebrate my wife 's B.day savour some venison. The place used to be expensive but pleasant. Not any more. Now it is more expensive with poor service. Bad management further aggravates the situation. I Waited an hour to be served. Was asked...to taste the wine in the middle of our cocktails. Had to ask several times for bread. The two tables near us, although seated after us, were served before. I mentioned it to our waiter and all I got back was an I don 't understand smile. The personnel of an establishment at such a price level is supposed to anticipate the customer 's needs and respect the timing the rules in the service. To end it all, the owner 's wife, I suppose, came in the middle of the meal to clarify the misunderstanding but, not to get aggravated any further, I cut it short in saying I preferred to eat my meal warm. Obviously, nobody was at the door to wish us a Good Night. I found it very unprofessional and, for this and all the reasons mentioned above, we are not ready to return."
