la Place Royale - Menu

On the magnificent Place des Vosges this restaurant is well known from the rich locals which have their habits. Perfect diner on the terrace.

Enjoyed this place for a business dinner. Good service and nice terrace. I was delighted to discover what seems to be the best Italian Tartare I've ever tasted.

We had some time to kill before dinner so headed here to have an aperitif and ended up with an enormous sharing platter of antipasti which was absolutely delicious! A lovely spot.

Lunch is echt prima, locatie aan de rand van het prachtige park aan de Place des Vosges, heel vriendelijke bediening. We hebben daar de tartare gegeten, heel smakelijk, lekker wijntje erbij, puur genieten!

Heerlijk geluncht bij la Place Royale. Aardige bediening, lekkere gerechten en goede wijnen. Prijs kwaliteit dik in orde. Serveren er een heerlijke préparé met salade en echte heerlijke Franse frietjes. Lunchen op deze locatie is een feest.

Apres avoir galèré trente minute dans ce quartier trop touristique, terrasse bondées place St Catherine , etc,....nous tombons sur ce restaurant. Acceuil très symap, cadre supe, place des vosges, plats variés, service super, que demander de plus un soir du mois d'aout entre copains.

We had a small hotel just around the corner - thankfully they recommended restaurant! Very good food, excellent wines (by the glass or bottle). Very pleasant service. But best of all: you can sit outside under the arcades and watch "real life" on the great Place des Vosges.Will go there again soon!

hesitant entre les nuages et menaces d'orage et voulant dejeuner en terrasse nous retournons a la table royale.bien nous en a pris.acceuil comme a l'accoutumée, souriant, puis défilé " tranquille " d'un repas que nous avons eu du mal a selectionné; après le foie gras très bon avons opté pour une côte de porc sauce moutarde, un régal, tendre cuite a point ,épaisse accompagnée de pommes sautées un régal le dessert a eu du mal a se faire une place délicieuse tatin et crêpes flambées; un déjeuner heureux accompagné d'un rosé sec et fruité quoi de mieux pour un 15 aout; merci a la charmante hotesse de table et au plaisir d'y retourner.

Because of it being on Place des Vosges, we thought to eat outside here to soak in the atmosphere. While pleasant to eat under the arcades and take in the view of the square, it was crowded and noisy and you do have to put up with the smoking and, to be perfectly honest, were I to do it again, I would choose to eat inside and avoid the smell which detracted from the taste of the meal. The food was good, the server very helpful and kind, but the night we were there, they were shorthanded with staff so there were unavoidable delays. Prices are reasonable, but I'd opt for inside and forego the view- you can always stroll the square before or after your meal- so you don't have to breathe the smo...
