"We walked by the front of this place and I asked in my bad Italian for due personne and the first staff that saw us said they were closed. This was about 1520. Too late for reposa, and they didn 't need to prepare for evening that soon. We kept walking the water front, and ended up behind the same restaurants, ended up at the back of this same place with a bunch of waiters that said we were welcome. We asked if we could sit out front, and we followed them right past the same one that said they were closed(! I had a capricciosa and she had spaghetti with muscles, both of which were pretty good compared to others we have had in the area. We also ordered 2 large Peroni (in my mind red label and got Nastro Azzurro, which we don 't like unless in a can as the green bottles allow the beer to turn skunky. When I said we wanteda Peroni, he pointed to the little place on the label that says it is made by Peroni. Our poor Italian and his poor English was not going to solve this, so I chuckled and said OK...and yes, both of them had the special skunky smell of a green beer bottle. We were second last to leave the table at 1630, at which time all the staff were inside eating, so I guess that first waiter had his watch set to the wrong time. So, the food is on par with other restaurants in the area. You are right on the harbour of Lungo Mare, and you have a view of Vesuvius. They all would make this a 4-start. The wait staff are a 2-star, which averages this to 3 overall."

Bella atmosfera, abbiamo mangiato molto bene. Purtroppo era troppo freddo, la porta sempre aperta.

Bel ristorante situato accanto al maestoso Castel dell’Ovo. Ottima cucina napoletana a base di pesce. View menu

Servizio mediocre, camerieri spesso con la mascherina abbassata, rapporto qualità prezzo non bilanciato.

Il cameriere poco accogliente, sevizio frettoloso e non attento. Il polpo duro e gommoso, prezzo troppo alto.

Food was not that good, which is very surprising for Napoli and especially disappointing because the prices are probably the highest you’ll find in the city. The service was inattentive. Overall very disappointing experience. View menu

Wife and I went here on our first night in Naples as it was recommended by our Bed and Breakfast. It was a nice walk along the bay to get here, most likely popular with the cruise ship crowd. We wanted to sit inside, and were seated without a reservation. Napoli (futbol) was on the television, and the energy was good. Wife had the spaghetti vongole, (clams) and I had langosta with home made pasta. They were both wonderful, especially after a long day of travel. We would go on to have better meals in Italy, but this was a nice start. Good for settling in, would avoid if cruise ship crowd is roaming around.

We were interested in eating in this area- staying right across the street at our hotel. We did ask our hotel which one of the hotels on this little island was the best. This is where they chose for us. We went with our children (9 and 10). I wouldn 't go with children who are younger at night. I wouldn 't call it casual but it wasn 't fancy either. There was a singer and guitar player who came around singing and it was my favorite part. We tipped him 2 euro. Very seafood heavy restaurant and we don 't eat a lot of seafood. That 's what you should be eating in naples if you like seafood. But , almost everything was seafood on the menu. My husband got veal and he enjoyed it. I got mushroom ris...

"Very nice ambience. The restaurant is located in an old construction near Baia's port. You eat in the middle of an old courtyard, feeling like you are back in the 1950s. Very good tableware. A bit less comfortable is the entrance, as the place is right on the street, very busy and dangerous on saturday night. Service is good too, just a bit harrassing with waiters explaining every dish with long descriptions one forgets the second lates they finish. That is part of an atmosphere the owner wants to be classy and elegant. The problem is that food is not at the same level. I mean, it is good and fresh, especially raw fish, but preparations are too standard to justify an averagely high price. In a table of 7, we had cold and hot starters including raw seafood and one main dish (paranza fried fish for some and catch of the day for the others), plus 5 desserts and white wine. I believe 310€ are a bit too much for what we had, not really in terms of quantity, but for the quality of the preparations. One example is the cold starter: a dish composed by 5 different starters to be eaten from left to right, from lighter to stronger taste. You start with one single raw sea truffle, go on with a tuna tartare, one single raw baby red shrimp with burrata, raw calamari slices and finally smoked salmon. Good quality and right taste, but nothing new, no special work from the chef, that's food you can find in every good-standard restaurant in the area of Naples. Same with the fish we had: too simple. In my view, simplicity is a positive value in food, but not for a place that wants to construct its own style on a classy and elaborate (and expensive) cuisine concept. Different situation concerning the desserts which I personally didn't try but left my friends with very good sensations. In conclusion, it's worth a try, can be good for a romantic tête-à-tête or a dinner with friends, but don't expect a special experience."
