"We have been coming here a number of times now and it is always delicious. The menu is varied and there are good choices to be had, changing with the seasons. The food is freshly prepared and they try to source the ingredients locally. We...had an assiete de charcuterie and the tataki do thon as starters, followed by a very nicely cooked piece du boucher'. Portions are generous, so we only managed to share a desert (ice cream) this time. The service is very attentive and the dishes on offer are explained very nicely. There is no rush and the old record player in the background provides a perfect ambience to the overall experience. A bientôt!"

"My husband and I were walking round Bize after the market on a Wednesday and found this very attractive restaurant under the old arches by the side of the river. The menu for Eur 12.50 offered a salad with barley, a chevre and tomato toast, duck with potatoes, chocolate mousse and apple tart - plus coffee - so we had to try it! It turned out to be one of the best meals we have had, simple but well cooked and utterly delicious. We ate inside as it was very hot, with a welcome breeze from both overhead and standing fans, but there is also a delightful terrace at the back and attractive seating under umbrellas at the front. We will definitely return for an evening meal."

"Nous sommes revenus ici cette année lors de nos vacances, après avoir eu un excellent souvenir les années précédentes.Les plats proposés sont toujours aussi bons. Nous avons notamment testé le camembert au four, la cassolette de chèvre chaud, la sèche et une pizza. Tout était très bien cuisiné.Possibilité boire un cocktails avant de manger au rentrant dans le bar qui fait partie du complexe.Le service est professionnel et sympathique.Le cadre, à côté d'un coin d'eau rends le repas en terrasse très agréable.Une très bonne adresse à tester et recommander !"

"The Buvette de Cabazac is a bar/restaurant worth a visit. We live in the nearby village of Bize so we know it well but if you are passing through it is THE place to stop for lunch and a cooling drink. If you are camping in the area the family who run the bar also run the Pizza restaurant next door where the pizzas are recommended by pizze aficionados. We often go for lunch, a three course menu for 13 Euros which includes 3 courses with a quarter litre of wine per person. The menu changes daily but nearly always includes a sirloin steak at a small surcharge. Today for example we had salad starter, of which you can have as much or as little as you fancy, Buvette Grill which was steak and chips and Boef Langue, beef tongue with pasta and salad. We never get round to puddings but there is normally a choice of three and the wine, of course. If you are staying in or around the village of Bize there are other attractions within walking distance, the olive factory, only about 100yds from the bar and the Cabezac winery with free tastings of delicious wines and on Wednesdays and Friday evenings you can buy oysters, mussels and cheese at the bar to either eat on the premises or take home. The oyster evenings are particularly popular in the summer months when they also have evenings of live music. The Buvette de Cabezac may not look like a top quality venue but the service and quality of cuisine and friendliness of the place makes it well worth a visit."
