"We stayed at the Marriott Courtyard up the road while waiting for a connecting flight and tried this place. It is informal and unpretentious with a friendly vibe, full of locals enjoying an aperitif and catching up on the days news. We were made to feel very welcome, the prices were really good value, service was fast, portions were generous and the quality of the food was better than many more expensive places we had eaten during the holiday. Rucola with bresaola and parmesan and pasta arrabbiata were both polished off quickly. Dessert was an ice cream from the freezer which we ate walking back to the hotel."

While staying the day in Venice, we went for a bite at la Sosta, they have a very nice menu, me and my wife had lasagna which was very good.

We had the lasagne and gnocchi with scallops, which were pretty good. Staff were very pleasant and friendly. Stay away from the pizza, though.

Inexpensive prices. Authentic food. Good service. Wine inexpensive. Good and very authentic. Would recommend as an airport stop. Try it next time you have a short layover. View menu

We were staying near Marco Polo the night before our flight out. We walked into Tessera and did not expect to find a great meal, but we did! Order the soup and the penne arrabbiata, both were divine!

This Restaurant is a bit of a hole in the wall, but it was filled with locals, which is nice. We had the Caprese and Spaghetti Carbonara. Both were good, so you should try it out if you are staying at the Marriott Courtyard near the airport in Venice.

Spent a whole afternoon there because our flight was delayed. Pizza was below average and they charged us 3 Euro for coverage (glass and paper the waitress told us???? since when do you have to pay for that?? Also she billed us our icecream twice and had to explain her that we already paid that in cash at the bar. Won’t recommend. View menu

We happened to walk by this place looking for a bite to eat. We were greeted warmly by the young lady behind the counter. She said to sit anywhere. The place had A/C! This was an added plus. The menu had a variety of choices that were all very fairly priced. We ordered our food. When the food arrived, it was very tasty and delicious. Portions were on the larger size we are three ladies traveling together.

Bar La Sosta is a place the locals go to eat, talk, drink and sip espressos. Casual and down to earth, this restaurant has terrific authentic Italian cuisine at very reasonable prices. The pasta in tomato sauce is simple but delicious. Another terrifc dish is the pasta alfredo. Again, its rich but not over the top. Portioins are large especially the vegetable soup that puts most minestrones to shame! Outside seating but I preferred sitting in the small dining rooms taking in the buzz of the neighborhood. The atmosphere will remind you of home.

"This is my second review on this place...after The Fork assured me they would resolve the situation following my complaint about the 20% discount that You Sushi would not honour. Food and drink... no problem. Nice enough food. That 's the good bit out of the way. We booked using The Fork and quoted the 20% discount offer on food and drink. I also reiterated this when we arrived and was told that was fine, no problem! On receiving the bill I again pointed out the 20% discount was missing, even though I 'd gone through this on arrival. They played absolutely dumb and refused the discount. I even showed them their website with the discount on it. To no avail, they weren 't interested. I paid, albeit reluctantly, and we left. I took this up with The Fork. All seemed fine and they gave me Yum points since they agreed I was in the right. I pointed out that Yum points are of no use since the closest UK restaurant I could use them is over 200 miles away! They promised to get back to me, resolve the issue with the restaurant etc so I left it with them. Now they 've washed their hands of it! The discount still shows at 20% for each and every day despite them refusing to honour it!! and The Fork have not taken any action against them. This leaves a very bad taste no pun intended and after the cheating restaurant and The Fork 's complete lack of trying to help other than utterly useless Yum points which are as much use to me a 7 dollar note it 's the last time I use either. So..if you do visit this place, be prepared to be conned out of the 20% discount."
