"I ate here with friends who had been several times before and love it, and I understand why. It's on a quiet street in a particularly charming part of Cannes, and looks the part. But on this evening it was very busy and the waiter we had was clearly not dealing with the rush of business very well....ironically his colleague was smily and charming, but our guy was snitty and seemed to take offence when one of our party asked if they had anything vegetarian, his reply was surly and unhelpful and the pasta and mushroom dish that ensued was awful. That said, my moules mariniere was good, and most of our party of 10 enjoyed the place. One final thing, they offer a make of champagne at 52 euros per bottle which can be bought in LIDL for 11 euros, and I find that an outrageous mark-up."

The restaurant is placed in a quite area of Cannes, with locals sitting by. Good food, maybe a little expensive. No menu card, but you can se the menu on the billboard. Nice service.

This traditional Provençal restaurant is beautifully set at the feet of Le Suquet, Cannes' Old Town. There is room both inside and outside where I love to eat in the warm season since you can seat just on the street. Good choice of traditional French food and very good price.Family run cuisine.Worth the visit!

First off have had a lovely meal, fresh ingredients that were well prepared and presented. That was 4/5.The service was 1/5. The waiter never came by to ask us ;Would you like to order now?How is the food ? Would you like some more wine? And lastly the Kitchen is closed so you can not order any dessert now. You are "merde" out of luck.

This restaurant is dissapointing and terrible in all ways possible. From the outside the restaurant looks good but it all goes downhill from the moment you sit down and order. My family and I waited 2 1/2 full hours for our food to come and when it did the quality and taste was terrible. The service was lousy and I do not recommend this restaurant.

Simple, good mediterranean family cooking style, clean, fast and reasonably priced; one of the rare bistro in Cannes where you will enjoy Provencal style cooking with a small but generous dish menu of the day (mean super fresh); Code fish Aioli, Tartar steak, grilled sirloin, Salads and all with a Piché of Rosé wine, Café Gourmand all for three persons 75 Euros… A blessing!

Located in the oldest part of Cannes, this bistro had simple regional fare with few frills but pricing was reasonable, service was good. We sat outside and the only nuisance was the tourist train which came by regularly. We had the veal saute Provencal, tartare, carpaccio, tagliatelle and the house wine. Everyone was pleased. We walked in the neighborhood nearby afterwards and it is beyond charming. A good break from the rest of Cannes.

La Sousta was one of the best restaurant we've visited in the French Riviera. Situated in the Suquet (the old town of Cannes), it is exactly what we were looking for. The owner, Philippe, was welcoming and friendly. We sat outside the restaurant feeling this vibrant and happy neighborhood. The menu is short but excellent with fresh ingredients and simple still excellent cuisine of the south . It was very reasonably priced . Philippe recommended some excellent (and also inexpensive) wine. A place you should not miss.

Cannes being the first stop in a France-Italy trip we were happy to find this restaurant to have our first dinner. Traditional things such as steak haché, salade niçoise, but also linguini with... well forgot with what it came but the one ordering it was very happy. As were the others. The simple but good rosé you get here comes at a good price. The crème caramel was very good indeed. Service was very friendly. Do be prepared to be looked at from the tourist train that drives past once in a while. Act local is the tip the next table gave us.

La Sousta is one of my favourite cafés in Cannes. I have visited this place a lot of times for many years. Mostly for a rosé or a glass of beer. Very informal and very afforable. Friendly staff. Fortunately the cafe also offers a variety of lunch courses. Try them all! This is first of all a place for local people. But also some tourists. The café is located in Rue du Pré which is very pittoresque and authentic. The little train in Cannes for guiding tourists has Rue du Pre on it's route. Highly recommended. Out for a "round-trip" in Cannes? Try La Sousta, Bar du terrasse (at Marché de Forville) and Bar du Marin (near Rue Meynadier).
