"We mistakenly booked Au Comestible thinking the very reasonable formula would be available on a Saturday night, and as we are eating out with 5 children the 65 euro tag on the La Tupina formula was out of our league. Alas, although there is no warning on au comestible website, Saturday night = no formula and the standard La Tupina menu. Ekkk!!! Although we skipped entree and went straight to main, the lovely staff kept bringing the little plates of apero snacks - fresh radish and cherry tomato, dried sausage slices and cubes of rillettes and lots of bread which meant no one was hungry. My partner, one son and I shared the huge beef cut and it was delicious - worth the money. Others had magret or poulet, but the black porc was the pick - fantastic flavour. The famous duck fried chips are smoky in flavour, assumedly from being prepared over the open fire. Dessert didn't disappoint, with the Bordeaux classic caneles best we had anywhere, and perhaps our pick the Colonel Gascon - sorbet in white Armagnac. We stuck to individual glasses of the house white and red, and they were both delicious. The total bill for us was 240 euro - not bad for 7 people. Fantastic. Worth the money and the effort. We will certainly be back."

This restaurant is a very good choice. Good food, friendly staff and priceworthy. Nice situated in the ”old town”. We were 11 people around the table so we had to pre-order the menu, but that was not a problem at all. Also nice that everything was included in the set menu price. View menu

Forma parte del pequeño grupo de restaurantes ubicados junto al Tupiña, en la zona de la Porte de la Monnaie. El restaurante es bonito y la carta es muy interesante, con platos muy sólidos (la macaronade estaba exquyisita). El ambiente es un poco estirado, demasiado posh, y, sinceramente, los precios muy elevados. Estuvo bien probar, pero no creo que vuelva.

De passage dans la rue, nous avons été attirés par ce petit restaurant au beau milieu d'une épicerie. Il est situé juste en face du restaurant huppé "la Tupina" ou sont en fait cuisinés les plats servis.Sur la vitrine était écrit le menu du jour, 18€ pour une entrée+plat+dessert et nous sommes entrés.Malheureusement, pas de menu du jour en soirée, et nous avons donc pris la carte.Qu'elle bonne surprise, des plats simples et très fins avec des produits de très bonne qualité, le petit poulet au jus, ou la marmite de macaronis aux cèpes et foie gras...quel délice.Nous avions tout le restaurant pour nous et notre serveur était très sympa, nous avions vraiment l'impression d'un service personnali...
