"We needed a place for late lunch during our trip. Selected this place based on TripAdvisor reviews plus it was open later for lunch than most places around. They were even ready to stay open after I called that we could be late (unusual for most places). Very friendly people (even helped us to find a parking place for our car). Good local food and wine selection plus they had some nice specials that day including that small (tiny) fried fish (do not remember the French name for that dish but it was delicious). All dishes were nicely done, simple, very fresh and tasty. Their whole chicken was an absolute hit also. Same about “ice cream parfait” with chocolate/your choice of alcohol sauce. Reasonably priced. We kept the place open as the last lunch guests but everyone was perfectly ok with that. Was a wonderful experience and we did not feel like tourists at all."

Friendly quick service, delicious fresh salads which are very generous. A real find in the centre of Montrichard . We would be back for dinner if we did not have to head home.

dessert flat entry less than € with fish on Friday noon to say! a velvet of ancient vegetables that warm the sorts and the heart a creamy sauce with a dish in the Julian net at home. These young people deserve to work more, go and try! Let's go back!

We ate here last week on our first night in Montrichard on a sunny July evening. Excellent alfresco eating with a bottle of Pyros a very good local red. We both went for burgers which were first class as was the service and staff. We returned later in the week for late drinks

Friendly staff speak good English . We chose the menu du jour €22 for 3 corses . I had warm goats cheese in filo parcels and my husband had poached egg very fresh on a carrot purée wit a delicate cream sauce . For mains we both had perfectly cooked calves liver pink with tasty mash potato quennels . To finish homemade chocolate sponge with melting chocolate in the centre and crème anglais. 1/2 litre of excellent local white touraine wine €15 . All good value except the tapas we had with our drinks which were nice enough but not for €9 ! All in all a pleasant experience in the lovely old town of Montrichard.

Not our first visit by any means and probably it will not be our last but I was disappointed by the main course this time around. On an unpromising April day we chose the Villa for our anniversary lunch as it has been very good in the past. The welcome was warm, the two menus on offer just fine. (The à la carte menu was also offered) As it was Easter Monday no menu du jour was available. Still our starters were just fine, if unexciting. My wife chose the market fish (un named) but served with saffron rice which was well received. I chose the guinea fowl which was very disappointing. The meat was stringy and looked as it had been boiled. Advertised as a supreme of pintade it sat on a bed of s...

"After visiting the magnificent castle of Chenonceau, we decided to eat in this restaurant because it was in an idyllic place and apparently a good and quality food seen critics. When we arrive a girl welcomes us and installs us at the table we choose. After 3 minutes, a waiter arrives and tells us that the kitchen closes at 2 o'clock, while we sit at 1:46. That it is not possible to eat and you have to leave. He didn't even give us the opportunity to eat in less time, while the restaurant closes at 4pm. A restaurant that claims to have a certain category should better take care of the customer and not throw it in this way, with the only explanation that the cooks were no longer there and had closed, while there were still several dining tables. The server was very rude and limited, without any knowledge of how to treat a client. I don't know if I think that since we're not French, they treat us like that. In short, I recommend to all people that I know that when they spend in this neighborhood they should not eat in this restaurant because the attention received leaves to be desired, in SPAIN we take care of tourists much better! (Original view) Después de visitar el magnífico castillo de Chenonceau, decidimos comer en este restaurante por estar en un lugar idílico y al parecer buena comida y de calidad viendo las reseñas. Al llegar una chica nos da la bienvenida y nos sienta en la mesa que nosotros escogemos. Al cabo de 3 minutos llega un camarero y nos dice que la cocina cierra a las 14h, cuando nosotros nos habíamos sentado a las 13:46h. It's impossible to come and our fueramos.
