Our car broke down on the highway to Austria and the receptionist was so nice to find a room for the night really quick. Service: 5

Went there for lunch on our way to the south, friendly stuff and good food, temperatures of food were not perfect therefore 4 stars ;)

Great food, cool waiter. We had the Rump Steak and Wiener Schnitzel with mushrooms and sauce. Excellent and very large portions. Big waiter. If you're not a smoker, the place to sit outside would be a problem like almost all smoked. Immersed, not so clean.

The location is perfect as Seesen is close to the autobahn. The place is very close to the center of the town. Plenty of parking places at least during the lunch hour. Service was quick and friendly. The food was good, the portions were big. Very clean restrooms. Alors, 5 stars!

We had 8 rooms with our group, these were very different. From the newly renovated bathroom to the very run down, everything was there. OK for a trip with the boys, not recommended for a honeymoon. We spend one night at the landhaus. We got an entire apartment and the other rooms were also were big. Rooms were clean and quiet, maybe a little worn out, but way better than many other gasthofs. Breakfast was ok, but lacked a few things like cheese without cumin or apple juice. We ate at a local restaurant so we didn't try the kitchen. Supposedly it's very good....staff is nice but almost invisible. If I have to overnight near Seesen again I'll definitely consider zum alten Fritz for accommodation.

When staying at the hotel for a stop when going to Italy, we had dinner when we arrived (a little late due to roadworks and accidents). The service was quick, very attentive and really helpful.We had some great schnitzels - one "Wiener Art" and one "Cordon Bleu" and the kids had excellent pasta dishes "California Chicken". Two good local draught beers really hit the dry spot, before we decided to take two glasses of local red wine (Spätburgunder - trocken). The kids had left room for desserts, but we decided to stay with a coffee and a Weinbrand.The meals were freshly prepared and very tasty - really value for money!
